Players join on their phones or tablets at jackbox.tv, using the room code displayed on screen. The sources cited here do not establish a universal Quiplash app for smart TVs.
What you need to play
- A computer or game console that supports the Quiplash edition you want to play.
- A way to display that device’s picture on your TV. The connection method depends on your equipment; there is no single method established for every setup.
- A phone or tablet for each player to join and submit answers.
Jackbox’s Quiplash product listing identifies computer versions and says Jackbox games are available on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms. Check the relevant storefront to confirm the specific edition is offered for your device.

Set up a game on your TV
- Choose a supported computer or console with the Quiplash edition you intend to play.
- Launch the game on that device and display its screen on the TV using a connection or display method supported by your equipment.
- When the game shows a room code, have each player visit jackbox.tv on a phone or tablet and enter the code. Jackbox’s support instructions describe this joining flow.
- Players use their phones or tablets to answer the prompts and play; the TV shows the host device’s game screen.
Can you play directly on the smart TV?
Do not assume you can install a generic Quiplash app on the TV. The official information cited here describes computer and console versions for hosting a game, with phones or tablets used by players to join. It does not establish universal native smart-TV support or a model-by-model compatibility list.

There is a separate route through Netflix: Jackbox says The Jackbox Party Essentials, which includes Quiplash 3, can be launched from the Netflix games tab on a compatible TV or browser when that tab is available. Netflix requires its Netflix Game Controller app when a phone is used as the controller. Check availability for your region and device before relying on this option; it does not mean every TV supports every Quiplash edition. See Jackbox’s Netflix play instructions.

Player count and remote guests
Jackbox Games’ product listing for the original Quiplash gives a player count of 3–8, plus an audience. That figure applies to the original edition listed; check the listing for the edition you own rather than assuming all versions have the same limits.
For remote play, Jackbox describes screen-sharing services and Steam Remote Play Together as options. To keep uninvited viewers from joining, hide the game lobby at the start of a new game and privately send the room code to invited players before revealing the screen. See Jackbox’s remote-play guidance.
