Shards can also summon Legendaries, but ordinary pulls are chance-based; x2 events improve rarity odds, x10 events favor a featured Champion without changing rarity odds, and only a Guaranteed event promises its named Champion after its stated Shard requirement. Check the live Summoning Portal and each reward screen before committing resources.
Choose a route based on what you want
| Route | What it can provide | Certainty and trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Shard summons | A random Champion from the eligible pool | Chance-based; probabilities depend on Shard type and active event. |
| Fragments | A named Champion when its required fragments are collected | Targeted, but requires collecting the target’s full fragment requirement from available sources. |
| Fusion | The Champion named in the Fusion recipe | Recipe-based; limited-time Fusions have deadlines and requirements. |
| Progression rewards | Champions or fragments specified by a game mode | Earned through gameplay and completion requirements; some rewards rotate or require extensive progress. |
| Revival Path | A guaranteed Legendary at the end of the Elite reward track, according to Plarium’s guide | For eligible returning players; the Elite Revival Pass is required for Elite rewards, and availability should be confirmed in-game. |
These routes use different resources: Shards, fragments, required Champions, gameplay effort, or (for Elite Revival Path rewards) a pass. A route that guarantees a named Champion may still demand substantial time or resources, so check the target’s actual requirements before choosing.

Use Shards with the odds in mind
Plarium’s official Champions page lists base Legendary chances of 0.5% for Ancient Shards, 0.5% for Void Shards, and 6% for Sacred Shards. These are the published page figures; the page’s publication year is not stated, so check the Summoning Portal’s live information screen for current probabilities before opening Shards. Void Shards summon only Void-affinity Champions. Mystery Shards cannot summon Epic or Legendary Champions under the official rarity table.

For a Legendary, it matters not only how many Shards you have, but which type they are and what event is active when you use them.

Know what each summon event changes
- x2: Doubles rarity chances. Plarium’s event guide gives examples of 1% Legendary chance from Ancient and Void Shards and 12% from Sacred Shards during the x2 event it describes. Confirm the current event and live rates; these figures describe that published event explanation, not a permanent rate.
- x10: Does not increase the chance of summoning the relevant rarity. If you first summon an Epic or Legendary of the relevant rarity, it increases the chance that Champion is the featured one. It is not a tenfold boost to the chance of any Legendary.
- Guaranteed Champion: Awards the named Champion after the specified number and type of Shards are opened while the event is active. Each event sets its own threshold and eligible Shard type; pulling the Champion early can end the event.
- Extra Legendary: Under the event’s rules, a qualifying Legendary summon may grant an additional random, non-duplicate Champion. It does not let you select the extra Champion.
Plarium explains the distinctions on its Summoning Events guide. Event details and eligible Champions change, so read the active event description and Portal status before spending saved Shards.
Understand the Mercy system
Mercy increases the chance of receiving a relevant rarity after a stated number of unsuccessful summons, but it does not make every pull progressively luckier from the start. Plarium’s Mercy System guide says counters are separate for each Shard type. For Ancient and Void Shards, Epic and Legendary counters are separate too, so receiving a Legendary does not reset the Epic counter. The guide describes the increase as additive; it does not show the counter in-game.
Because the counter is hidden, do not assume an exact pull count unless you have reliable account-specific tracking and have confirmed the current rules. Treat Mercy as a backstop to chance, not a schedule for when a Legendary will arrive.
Target a Champion with fragments
Fragments are tied to a specific Champion, making them a more direct route than a random Shard pull. Plarium’s Champion Fragments guide states that 100 fragments are needed to summon a Champion. The target’s Fragment Summon screen has an Info button listing that Champion’s available sources. Events and tournaments can award fragments; special offers may also be available.

Check the target’s screen for its sources and requirements rather than assuming every Champion has the same event schedule or offer. Fragment availability can be tied to particular activities or offers.
Complete a Fusion for its named Champion
A Fusion is a recipe-based route: gather and prepare the Champions listed for the target, then fuse them through the Portal. Plarium’s Fusion guide identifies Relickeeper and Broadmaw as permanent Fusion examples. Limited-time Fusion events have a countdown and a deadline.
Before starting, open the in-game Fusion tab and check the target’s recipe, eligibility requirements, and deadline. A limited-time Fusion is a commitment to complete its listed steps before the timer expires; the recipe and terms for a current target are the authoritative details.

Doom Tower Secret Rooms
Doom Tower Secret Rooms award fragments for a set of exclusive Champions, with rewards on Normal and Hard tracks. The rooms rotate, have restrictions, and award fragments in a specified order. Plarium’s Doom Tower guide explains the system; check the current in-game rotation and your reachable rewards before planning around a particular Champion.

Faction Wars
Plarium’s Faction Wars guide says that earning three stars on every Normal stage across all factions awards Lydia the Deathsiren. Earning three stars on every Hard stage awards Polara Fireheart; the guide says Hard unlocks after Lydia is earned. This makes Faction Wars a long-term roster-development goal rather than a quick early-game source.
Check eligibility for Revival Path rewards
Plarium’s Revival Path guide describes a returning-player feature with points earned through daily, weekly, and revival quests. The Elite track can award a guaranteed Legendary at its end, but unlocking its extra rewards requires the Elite Revival Pass. The guide does not establish that Revival Path is available to every account, so confirm the feature and its terms in-game before counting it as an option.
Use event announcements as dated examples, not current offers
Plarium’s June 3, 2026 announcement for “Web of Corruption” described routes including a loyalty-program Legendary, limited-time Fusions, Shard summons, activities, and summon boosts. That event ended August 18, 2026, so its rewards are not a current recommendation. Its announcement illustrates the kinds of acquisition routes Plarium has used, not what is available in the live game now: Web of Corruption announcement.

Quick Recap
A practical order for deciding what to do
- Name your target. If you need a particular Champion, check its Fragment Info, Fusion recipe, and progression rewards before using random Shards.
- Check the live Portal. Review current probabilities, the eligible Champion pool, and whether x2, x10, Guaranteed, or Extra Legendary terms are active.
- Match your resources to the route. Compare the required Shard type and count, fragments, Fusion ingredients, gameplay conditions, deadline, and any pass requirement.
- Commit only after reading the event or reward screen. Confirm the threshold, end time, eligibility, and what happens if the featured or guaranteed Champion appears early.
