Is infinite TNT a vanilla Minecraft feature?
The official Java Snapshot 25w10a article documents a game rule called tntExplodes, which controls whether TNT can be primed and explode. Its default is true; when false, “TNT will not explode and cannot be primed.” That rule changes TNT behavior—it does not create an infinite supply or provide a TNT duplicator recipe. How should you choose a method?
- If you require vanilla: The cited official source does not establish a vanilla infinite-TNT duplicator. Do not follow a mod or add-on tutorial as though it were an unmodified-game mechanic.
- If you play Java and allow mods: Use the Modrinth listing to identify a file matching your Minecraft version and loader. The listing’s stated dispenser behavior is mod-specific.

Check before installing or testing
- Identify whether the world is Java or Bedrock and note its exact game version.
- Open the relevant listing’s latest release and version notes. For a Java mod, verify the loader and file requirements; for a Bedrock add-on, verify the release’s stated version and platform support.
- Check whether your multiplayer setup requires the same content on the server and client, and follow the publisher’s installation instructions.
