You may be able to get Grand Theft Auto VI’s $99.99 Ultimate Edition for an effective $79.99 before any applicable tax by buying $100 in PlayStation Store credit for $79.99 through a reported U.S. Costco member offer. This is a discount on wallet credit—not a sale price on the game—and the deal’s availability at checkout is not confirmed. Check Costco’s live listing before buying.
How the reported Costco offer works
Beebom reported on October 6, 2026, that U.S. Costco members could buy four $25 PlayStation Store cards—$100 in total credit—for $79.99. The report says the offer ends October 11, 2026, or earlier if supplies run out. A Reddit post from October 5 described the same offer, but neither report confirms that every member can still complete a purchase at that price.

- Check Costco’s current listing. Sign in to an eligible U.S. Costco account and confirm the card quantity, member price, purchase limit, and stock shown at checkout.
- Confirm the final total and terms. Proceed only if the price is still $79.99 and the purchase conditions work for you. The offer is reported as time-limited and subject to availability.
- Redeem the cards to the right PlayStation account. Use the account that will buy the game, and make sure the card region matches the account region.
- Buy the PS5 Ultimate Edition in PlayStation Store. Its listed price is $99.99. The $100 wallet balance covers that listed price, though any applicable tax or other account-specific checkout charge could affect the total.
The offer and expiry are reported by Beebom and a Reddit post. Rockstar warns that buying from a retailer in a different country than the platform account can cause activation problems; check its pre-order guidance.

Which edition costs what?
Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement and the U.S. PlayStation Store listing set the following prices:
#1 Best Overall
| Edition | U.S. listed price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $79.99 | Rockstar says Standard owners can buy the Ultimate upgrade later after redeeming their game code. |
| Ultimate | $99.99 | Includes additional vehicles, weapons, apparel, businesses or shops, and other story-related content, according to Rockstar’s edition details. |
Prices are from Take-Two’s announcement and the U.S. PlayStation Store listing. For the edition contents and upgrade option, see Rockstar’s platforms and editions information.
What to check before you buy
- It is a PlayStation-only route. The reported credit deal is for PlayStation Store cards. No equivalent Xbox offer is established here, so do not assume it discounts an Xbox purchase.
- Check both account and card regions. Rockstar recommends purchasing from a retailer in the country of the platform account to avoid activation problems.
- The price may have changed or sold out. The reports give an October 11, 2026 deadline or earlier while supplies last, but do not verify live checkout availability.
- The pre-order includes a renewing subscription. The U.S. PlayStation Store listing says the pre-order includes one month of GTA+, which auto-renews at the regular monthly price until canceled. Review the listing and subscription terms before ordering.
- A boxed copy does not mean a disc. Rockstar says the physical version contains a download code in a box, not a disc. See the Rockstar Store listing and Rockstar’s edition details.
Should you buy Standard or Ultimate?
The reported credit deal can bring the Ultimate Edition’s effective cost close to the Standard Edition’s $79.99 listed price, but only if you can actually buy the credit at the reported price and want the Ultimate extras. If you are unsure, Rockstar says you can purchase the Ultimate upgrade later through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefront after redeeming the Standard game code. That gives you a way to start with Standard rather than paying for the Ultimate content upfront.
