Complete Animal Magnetism for Manktongue in the Fractured Plains to earn Ava’s Accumulator and unlock its recipe. You’ll need an Undead Chicken, an Undead Twig Bundle, and a Magnetised Iron Bar; the bar itself costs one Iron Bar and five Law Runes at Pulpknuckle’s rooftop workbench. The Accumulator occupies the cape slot, improves ranged-ammunition recovery, and collects recovered ammo automatically.
Requirements and quest location
Find Manktongue inside a ruined stone building near the southwest edge of the Fractured Plains, north of Whispering Swamp. Accept his request, then interact with the Advert-in-a-Bottle beside him to see the three required components. The route described in the September 22, 2026 walkthrough does not require a boss fight. Collect the three quest components
Find an Undead Chicken
Travel to the Stormtouched Highlands and look along the cliffside near iron ore nodes for an Undead Chicken.
Gather an Undead Twig Bundle
In Bloodblight Swamp, find the large glowing Undead Tree and interact with it to collect the bundle.

Make the Magnetised Iron Bar
- Gather Iron Ore and smelt it into an Iron Bar. Set aside five Law Runes as well.
- Return to Manktongue’s ruined building and climb the exterior stairs to Pulpknuckle’s rooftop workbench.
- Hand over one Iron Bar and five Law Runes to obtain the Magnetised Iron Bar.
Keep those five Law Runes reserved for this step before returning to the ruin; they are part of the quest component, not an optional extra.
Turn in the quest and claim the Accumulator
Bring the Undead Chicken, Undead Twig Bundle, and Magnetised Iron Bar to Manktongue. Completing Animal Magnetism awards Ava’s Accumulator and its crafting recipe. This quest completion is the unlock; crafting later replacements is a separate process.

What Ava’s Accumulator does
Equip the Accumulator in the usual cape slot. It increases the chance that ranged ammunition will be recovered and automatically collects recovered ammunition from farther away. Recovery is chance-based, so it does not return every arrow or other shot. The item reference lists an additional arrow-recovery chance of +10%, plus melee, ranged, and magic defense of 2 each; it also lists weight 0 and a stack limit of 1. Craft a replacement after unlocking the recipe
Once the quest has unlocked the recipe, make a replacement at an Armour Bench using these listed materials:

If recovered ammunition is not picked up
Check that Auto-Magnetise World Items is enabled. The walkthrough identifies this setting as the first check when ammunition is not being collected.
