First identify whether you need public catalog details, data from your own seller account, advertising reports, or data for academic research. Then use an access route authorized for that purpose and check the terms for your account, marketplace, and intended use.
There is no single Amazon API for every kind of data. The official routes differ by audience and purpose; third-party no-code tools may reduce setup work, but their current coverage and terms need to be verified before you rely on them.

Start by identifying the data and the purpose
“Amazon product data” can mean several different things. The route that fits depends on both the information you want and your relationship to the account or program that makes it available.
- Public catalog information: details displayed on product pages, such as titles, descriptions, prices, or reviews. A page being publicly viewable does not by itself establish permission to extract, store, republish, or use its contents for another merchant’s benefit.
- Your seller or vendor business data: information such as orders, inventory, listings, payments, shipments, or reports associated with an authorized selling relationship.
- Advertising data: campaign planning, management, measurement, and reporting information for Amazon advertising.
- Affiliate publishing data: product information used in an Amazon Associates context, subject to that program’s current terms and access route.
- Research data: publicly available EU Store data sought by qualifying researchers for the specific systemic-risk research purpose described under the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Also decide what you plan to do with the data: keep it for internal analysis, display it on a site, publish comparisons, or use it to support another merchant. Permission to access information and permission to reuse or display it are separate questions.

Choose an access route that matches your role
| Route | Data scope | Who it is for and access conditions | Reuse, export, and other details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selling Partner API (SP-API) | Seller and vendor business data, including orders, shipments, payments, inventory, listings, and reporting. | Amazon says a Professional seller account is needed to create an SP-API developer profile. Sellers and authorized third parties can access seller data subject to registration and onboarding. | It is a REST-based business-data API, not a general public-catalog scraping API. Export format, refresh cadence, marketplace availability, and price are not stated in the materials summarized here; verify current SP-API documentation and applicable account terms. |
| Amazon Ads API | Advertising planning, activation, measurement, management, and reporting. | Amazon describes an application and approval process for direct API access. Advertisers using third-party integrated tools do not need to request API access themselves. | It is for advertising workflows, not general product-page data access. Export format, refresh cadence, marketplace availability, and price are not stated here; check the current API and any integrated tool’s terms. |
| Creators API; legacy PA-API documentation | Product information for the Associates/creator context, rather than a general-purpose public-catalog extraction route. | The legacy PA-API documentation directs readers to Creators API. Check the current Creators API documentation and current Associates eligibility before choosing this route. | The legacy documentation stated a May 15, 2026 deprecation date and says it is no longer maintained. Because that date has passed, do not build a new workflow around legacy PA-API instructions; confirm current availability and terms directly. |
| EU DSA researcher access | Publicly available Amazon EU Store data for the specified systemic-risk research purpose. | Amazon’s DSA page, updated August 25, 2026, describes access for qualifying researchers. | This is purpose-limited research access, not general commercial scraping permission. Export, refresh, and price details are not stated here; confirm the current eligibility and conditions on Amazon’s page. |
| Third-party visual or no-code extraction tool | Depends on the specific tool and pages it supports; no named vendor’s current Amazon coverage or fields are established here. | Check the tool’s current terms and your applicable Amazon terms. A vendor’s marketing claim is not proof that a workflow is approved or compliant. | Output formats, limits, refresh cadence, marketplaces, pricing, privacy practices, and handling of blocked pages must be verified with the vendor before use. |
For your seller account: SP-API
If you need business data tied to your own seller relationship, start with SP-API rather than treating public product pages as a substitute. Access is permissioned: Amazon describes registration and onboarding, and says a Professional seller account is required to create a developer profile. Authorized third parties can also work with seller data under the applicable onboarding and authorization process.
For campaigns and ad reports: Amazon Ads API
If your spreadsheet is about advertising performance or campaign management, use the Ads API route or an integrated advertising tool. It should not be presented as a way to collect general catalog details from product pages.
For Associates publishing: check Creators API
If your use is product content for an Associates or creator workflow, follow the current Creators API documentation and verify eligibility for the relevant marketplace. The legacy PA-API documentation is no longer maintained and pointed readers to Creators API; its stated May 15, 2026 deprecation date has passed.
For qualifying EU research: check the DSA route
Amazon describes a narrow route for qualifying researchers to use data-gathering tools on publicly available Amazon EU Store data solely for the specified research into systemic risks under the DSA. It does not establish permission for unrelated research, commercial monitoring, or ordinary product comparisons.

For visual no-code tools: verify before choosing
A browser extension or visual workflow builder can reduce the technical work of selecting page elements and exporting results. It cannot change the terms that apply to the site, account, or program. No particular no-code scraper’s current supported fields, Amazon coverage, output limits, price, terms, or affiliate relationship is established here, so there is no verified vendor to recommend or rank.
Before using one, check its current support for the marketplace and fields you need, its export and refresh options, its behavior when pages are unavailable, its privacy and security practices, its pricing, and whether its terms explain permitted uses. Separately review the Amazon terms that apply to your own account and intended activity.
Check the terms before extracting or reusing content
Tool simplicity is not a permission test. Amazon Business terms specifically address data-gathering tools and copying information in connection with Amazon Business. Amazon Business Accounts Terms and Conditions state: “You may not use data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools in connection with Amazon Business, nor may you download or copy Amazon Business information, including any collection of product listings, descriptions, reviews, or prices without our consent or for the benefit of another merchant.” This statement is about Amazon Business; it should not be generalized into a ruling about every Amazon service or every possible use.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The Associates program has a separate restriction. Its policy grants a limited, revocable license to use program content and APIs under its terms, and says that license does not include “any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.” Check the current policy and marketplace before relying on or quoting that language in a workflow decision.

A practical no-code workflow
- Write down the fields and purpose. Name each field you need and whether you will analyze it privately, display it, publish it, or use it for another merchant. Avoid collecting fields you do not need.
- Identify the account or program relationship. Decide whether this is seller/vendor business data, advertising data, Associates content, EU DSA research, or public-page content. Confirm that you own or are authorized for any account involved.
- Choose the matching authorized route. Use SP-API for eligible seller business data, Ads API or an integrated tool for advertising, current Creators API guidance for Associates publishing, or the DSA route only if your research qualifies and stays within its stated purpose.
- If considering a visual tool, verify its current details. Confirm the exact marketplace, page types, fields, output format, limits, refresh behavior, failure handling, price, and terms with the vendor. Do not assume a browser extension is endorsed by Amazon.
- Review both access and reuse terms. Check the applicable Amazon account, program, and marketplace terms, plus any vendor terms. Confirm that the planned storage, display, and sharing are permitted before collecting data.
- Run a small, authorized pilot. Validate a few records manually against the allowed source, inspect missing or changed fields, and test the export in your spreadsheet before scaling up. Do not use a tool to evade a CAPTCHA, bot check, login restriction, or other access control.
- Document the workflow. Record the data source, account authorization, allowed use, marketplace, collection schedule, and process for stopping collection if terms or access change.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a structured Amazon product-data extractor. It can capture a page visually; it does not turn that image into authorized spreadsheet data. Use it only where a visual capture is appropriate and your access and use are permitted. Its clean-shot options accept cookie or consent banners like a visitor and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. AI agents can use its MCP server tools: take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
For setup and parameters, see the ScreenshotNeo documentation. This one-call example captures a visual image, not spreadsheet fields:

The tool can see a page, but the data is not authorized for your use
A visual tool only changes how you interact with a page. Stop and check the applicable Amazon terms and your intended reuse; switch to an official route if one exists for your role and purpose.

Your seller integration cannot access the data you expect
SP-API is permissioned business-data access, not a public catalog endpoint. Confirm the account’s eligibility, developer registration, onboarding, authorization, and requested data scope.
An advertising integration returns campaign data, not product-page fields
That is a scope mismatch. The Ads API is designed for advertising planning, management, measurement, and reporting. Choose a route documented for the data you actually need.

Legacy PA-API instructions no longer match the current route
The legacy documentation says it is no longer maintained, directs readers to Creators API, and stated a May 15, 2026 deprecation date. Consult current Creators API guidance and verify current Associates eligibility rather than following a legacy tutorial as if it were current.
A no-code tool misses fields or stops working
Page structure, availability, and vendor support can change. Check current vendor documentation for the exact marketplace, page type, fields, limits, and failure behavior. Revalidate a small sample and do not try to overcome access controls.

A screenshot does not produce spreadsheet columns
A screenshot is an image or PDF capture, not structured product data. Use an authorized data route with an export suitable for your spreadsheet; do not treat OCR or manual transcription as permission to collect or republish content.
Decision checklist
- What exact fields do you need, and why?
- Are you working with your own authorized seller/vendor data, advertising data, Associates content, qualifying EU research data, or public product pages?
- Does the official access route match that data and your role?
- Have you checked the current terms for your Amazon account, program, marketplace, and intended storage or display?
- If using a third-party tool, have you verified its current coverage, export, refresh, limits, price, privacy practices, and terms directly?
- Can you test a small sample without bypassing a login, CAPTCHA, bot check, or other access control?
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I export Amazon product listings to Excel without coding?
Possibly, if you have an authorized route and the tool supports an export format such as CSV or a spreadsheet. Verify both details before collecting anything; a page being visible does not settle whether extraction or reuse is allowed.
