To get a Turkish IP address, connect to a VPN server located in Turkey. Install a VPN app from a provider that offers Turkish servers, select Turkey, connect, then check the apparent country with an IP-location tool. A Turkish endpoint changes the apparent origin of your traffic, but it does not guarantee that every website or streaming service will accept the connection.
Connect to a VPN server in Turkey
- Choose a provider with Turkey servers. Check its current server list before subscribing or connecting, because available locations can change. Proton VPN is one example whose Turkey server page describes connecting through a Turkish location.
- Install and open the VPN app. Use the provider’s app for your device and sign in if required.
- Select Turkey. Choose Turkey on the app’s map or in its location list. Proton VPN says its app can select the fastest Turkish server for the user’s location; that is the provider’s description, not an independent speed test.
- Connect and verify. Once the app reports a connection, use an IP-location check to see which country your public IP address appears to be in. The provider’s explanation is that traffic routed through a server located in Turkey appears to come from that server’s location.
The documented setup is through a VPN app and service. The cited instructions do not establish a need for a special router or other physical accessory.

Check whether a service sees your location as Turkey
An IP-location check is a useful first check, but the target service may use other signals or block VPN connections. A changed apparent location does not guarantee access to a particular site, account feature, or streaming catalog.

If Netflix reports the wrong country or shows an unexpected catalog, Netflix recommends opening Fast.com on the affected network, selecting “Show more info,” and checking the country shown next to “Client.” If the country is not the one you expect, follow Netflix’s country troubleshooting guidance.

Netflix says VPN use can affect the content shown. It also says VPNs are unsupported for live events and for its ad-supported experience. For connection or playback problems, consult Netflix’s VPN help page or contact your VPN provider; a Turkish server alone cannot ensure Netflix will accept the connection.
Choose a provider based on your actual need
There is no sourced provider comparison here, so treat Proton VPN as an example, not a ranking. Before choosing a service, confirm that Turkey is in its current server list, its app supports your device, and it offers usable connection troubleshooting. If you need a particular website or streaming service, check that service’s own VPN guidance and understand that acceptance can vary.

Does this method establish whether VPN use is legal?
No. The cited provider and Netflix pages explain connection and service behavior, not current Turkish law. They do not establish the legal rules for VPN use in Turkey or elsewhere. Check authoritative, current legal information for the jurisdiction relevant to you rather than treating a VPN provider’s setup instructions as legal advice.
