To appear online with a Lesotho IP address, connect through a VPN server that your provider lists as located in Lesotho, then check that the public IP address reports Lesotho as its country. Confirm both steps yourself: a server name in an app is not proof of where the address is registered, and a provider’s country list can change without notice.
Start with the goal you actually have
Three different goals get described with similar wording, and each needs a different server. Choose the one that matches your situation before you pay for anything.

| Your goal | Server to select | Does it give you a Lesotho IP address? |
|---|---|---|
| Appear to browse from Lesotho, or reach a service that only works for Lesotho addresses | A server the provider lists in Lesotho | Yes, if the public IP check reports Lesotho |
| Faster browsing while you are in or near Lesotho | The nearest available server | No, unless the nearest server is in Lesotho |
| Access a service in your home country | A server in your home country | No, unless your home country is Lesotho |
Being in Lesotho does not give you a Lesotho address
A VPN replaces the IP address that websites see with the address of the server you connect to, so the exit location decides which country appears. If you are physically in Lesotho but connected to a server in another country, websites will see that other country. The reverse also applies: a provider with thousands of servers in other countries does not make a Lesotho exit available. Only a server the provider places in Lesotho produces a Lesotho address.

- Confirm Lesotho is on the live list. Open the provider’s server list in its app or on its website and search for “Lesotho.” If it is not listed, ask the provider’s support team in writing whether a Lesotho server exists before you subscribe.
- Check the server type. Some providers offer virtual locations, where the registered IP address sits in the selected country while the physical server is elsewhere. This can still produce a Lesotho address, but read the provider’s description so you know what you are buying.
- Install the app, sign in, select Lesotho, and connect. CometVPN’s marketing describes this subscribe, install, select flow. Its Lesotho endpoint has not been independently confirmed (see the provider table below).
- Check the public IP and its country. Use any reputable IP lookup tool while connected. The displayed country should be Lesotho. Le VPN’s IP-check guidance explains that the displayed address should reflect the VPN server you selected, which is the test to apply.
- Test the specific site or service you need. A correct Lesotho lookup does not guarantee access. Some sites block known VPN addresses, and some services limit access by account, platform or region.
What the providers checked actually say about Lesotho
Provider inventories change, and the information below reflects material available as of October 2026. Treat it as a starting point for your own check, not a guarantee.

| Provider | What its own material says about Lesotho | Is a Lesotho exit confirmed? |
|---|---|---|
| CometVPN | Its marketing page claims a Lesotho server pool, names Maseru among the cities, and describes selecting a Lesotho server in the app. | Not independently confirmed. The live endpoints and the geolocation of assigned IP addresses have not been verified. |
| NordVPN | Its official support page explains that the server list is where you check locations and server types. | Not stated. No Lesotho location appeared in the material checked. |
| ExpressVPN | Its official server page lists country locations and explains how virtual locations work. | Not stated. No Lesotho location appeared in the material checked. |
| Le VPN | The location list returned for this check included South Africa and other African and Middle Eastern locations. | Not stated. No Lesotho entry appeared in the list returned. |
A missing name in one list does not prove that a provider has no Lesotho server, because a list captured at one moment may be incomplete. A recent iTechGuides article draws the same distinction between using a VPN in Lesotho and obtaining a Lesotho IP address, and it reports no Lesotho exit among the services it discussed. That is secondary reporting, so it does not replace a provider’s own current list.
Understanding what the VPN is doing
NordVPN’s official server-location page describes a regular VPN server this way: “A regular VPN server encrypts your internet traffic and replaces your IP address.” That sentence explains why the server you choose matters more than the app you use. A hardware VPN router or client can send your traffic through a provider, but it can only use the locations that provider offers. The device itself does not create a Lesotho exit.

Troubleshooting a Lesotho connection
- The IP lookup shows another country. The tunnel is not on a Lesotho server. Disconnect, reselect Lesotho from the provider’s list, reconnect, and check again. If it still fails, ask support which server the app assigned.
- The IP lookup shows Lesotho but the site refuses access. The site may detect and block VPN addresses, or its terms may restrict the service by account or region. Contact the service directly before changing providers.
- The Lesotho server will not connect. The endpoint may be offline or removed from the list. Choose another listed server, or consider a provider whose Lesotho location is confirmed on its live list.
Limits of what can be confirmed
The main unresolved question is whether CometVPN currently runs a Lesotho exit whose assigned IP addresses geolocate to Lesotho. Its marketing establishes what the company says it offers, not that the endpoint works today. No independent speed tests or measured results for Lesotho servers were available, so this guide does not compare performance there. Until a live server list and an independent IP lookup both show Lesotho, present any Lesotho claim as the provider’s claim.
If you do subscribe, keep the receipt and the server list screenshot. They make it easier to ask support about a missing location, and to show the provider what you were offered.

The clearest path is to pick a provider whose current server list shows Lesotho, connect to that server, and confirm the IP lookup reports Lesotho before you rely on it for anything you need to work.
