Then verify the apparent country of your public IP address. Of the providers covered here, Proton VPN explicitly describes connecting through Comoros and says its Free plan does not include Comoros servers. NordVPN lists Comoros in its location directory, but that listing alone does not confirm an operating Comorian exit IP or which plan includes it.
What you need to get a Comorian IP address
A VPN can make websites see the VPN server’s public IP address instead of the one assigned by your local internet provider. For that address to appear Comorian, the provider must route your connection through an endpoint it identifies as being in Comoros. Having a VPN app or router by itself is not enough: confirm the provider offers the country location and that your plan can use it.

A provider’s location page is evidence of what it advertises, not independent proof that an endpoint is online, geolocates to Comoros, or will be accepted by a particular website. Server locations, plan eligibility and refund terms can change, so check the provider’s current information before subscribing.

Which VPN providers list Comoros?
| Provider | What its official information says | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Proton VPN | Proton says its Comoros servers can provide a Comorian IP and explains how to select Comoros in its app. Its Comoros page says the Free plan does not include Comoros servers; a paid plan is needed for this location through Proton. Proton also advertises a 30-day refund period. Proton VPN’s Comoros page | Whether the location is currently available on the plan and device you intend to use, and whether the resulting IP is accepted by your target service. The page is not an independent uptime, speed or access test. |
| NordVPN | NordVPN’s official location directory lists Comoros as one city. It also describes virtual locations and physical hardware generally. NordVPN’s server directory | The reviewed listing does not establish whether the Comoros location is virtual or physical, whether it currently provides an exit IP geolocating to Comoros, or which plans include it. Confirm directly with NordVPN before relying on it. |

How to connect through Comoros
- Check the provider’s current location and plan information. Make sure Comoros is listed and that the subscription tier you plan to use includes it.
- Install the provider’s app and sign in. Proton lists support for Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebook, Android, iPhone and Android TV on its Comoros page. Confirm current device support with your chosen provider.
- Select Comoros in the app. Proton documents selecting the country from either its map or server list. Connect, then wait for the app to show that the VPN connection is active.
- Check your apparent public IP and country. Use an independent IP geolocation checker. Geolocation databases can disagree, so one result is not proof that every site will treat the address as Comorian.
- Try the intended service and assess any rejection separately. A site may rely on a different geolocation database, account-country rules or its own VPN restrictions. A Comoros VPN location does not guarantee access to a specific site.
Will websites accept the Comorian IP?
Not necessarily. An IP lookup may label an address as Comorian while a website uses another database or applies account, licensing or anti-VPN rules. If a service rejects the connection, check that the VPN is connected and that the app still shows Comoros; then consult the provider about the endpoint and the service about its access rules. The provider location listings cited above do not establish access to any particular third-party service.
Is VPN use legal in Comoros?
Proton VPN says VPN use is legal in Comoros, while also stating that the government has blocked many VPN websites and that activity conducted through a VPN remains subject to Comorian law. This is the provider’s statement, not an independently established legal conclusion. Proton VPN’s Comoros page
