HubSpot has two different visual-generation workflows. Use Generate with AI in a supported content editor for illustrations, banners, and other images. Use Breeze Assistant on a desktop computer when you need a chart or graph based on CRM records, a CSV file, or public web data. They have different requirements and different saving options, so choose the route that matches the result you need.
The steps and plan details below reflect HubSpot documentation updated in 2026. Labels, permissions, and availability can vary by account, so confirm what your current HubSpot interface shows before publishing.
How do I generate images in HubSpot?
HubSpot documents AI image generation for blog posts, website pages, landing pages, marketing emails, and social posts. The generation dialog is opened from the content editor’s image controls.
1. Open the content that needs an image
- Open the blog post, website page, landing page, email, or social post in HubSpot.
- Place an image block where the visual should appear, or open the editor’s existing image control.
2. Choose Generate with AI
Select Generate with AI. HubSpot identifies Breeze as the AI used for this workflow. If the option is missing, check your subscription, user permissions, AI settings, and Files data access before assuming the feature is unavailable.
3. Write a useful prompt
Describe the subject, composition, audience, mood, color direction, and intended placement. For example:
#1 Best Overall
- Blog hero: “A clean, editorial illustration of a small business owner reviewing a rising analytics chart on a laptop, teal and navy palette, generous negative space on the left for a headline, no readable text, 16:9.”
- Social post: “Square product-education illustration showing three steps from raw data to a dashboard, flat vector style, high contrast, no logos or words.”
- Landing-page banner: “Wide, realistic workspace scene with a tablet displaying abstract charts, warm daylight, uncluttered background, space on the right for copy, 3:1.”
Specify what must not appear when it matters: “no watermark,” “no extra fingers,” “no legible text,” or “do not imitate a named living artist.” Generated text inside images is often unreliable, so add headlines and labels in HubSpot’s editor instead.
4. Add a reference image when appropriate
The current image dialog can use an uploaded image or a file already saved in HubSpot as a reference. Use a reference for a general visual direction, subject, or layout, and make sure you have permission to use it. A reference does not remove the need to review the generated result for accuracy and brand suitability.
5. Select style and size
Where the controls appear, choose a visual style and an output size that matches the destination. A wide ratio is appropriate for a page hero, a square ratio for many social placements, and a portrait ratio for mobile-first creative. HubSpot may show different controls by editor or account.

6. Generate, inspect, and place the result
- Run the generation and review the available options.
- Check faces, hands, logos, product details, chart labels, and any text for errors.
- Expand or crop the image if the dialog provides those controls.
- Insert the approved image into the current content, or save it to the Files tool for later use.
HubSpot also documents editing the result with Adobe Express. Treat that as an optional finishing step rather than a replacement for checking the original output.
What do I need before the image option appears?
Subscription and feature access
HubSpot’s image-generation documentation lists Content Hub Starter, Professional, and Enterprise for this capability. It lists Content Hub Professional or Enterprise when you want to use brand identity while generating and managing images. The live plan matrix can change, so verify the current entitlement for your portal.
Rank #2
AI and Files settings
- An administrator must enable generative AI access in the account’s AI settings.
- Saving generated assets in the Files tool requires Files data access.
- User permissions can change which editor controls are visible.
HubSpot advises reviewing its AI Trust FAQs and AI Model Cards for security, data-use, and compliance information. Do not place confidential customer information in a prompt unless your organization’s policy and HubSpot’s current terms allow it.
Brand identity is not the same as basic generation
You can generate an image without implying that every account has the brand-identity feature. Brand identity has the higher stated Content Hub Professional or Enterprise requirement. If colors, fonts, or logos are important, verify the brand settings available in your portal and still inspect every output.

How do I get consistent, usable image results?
Design the prompt around the destination
State the aspect ratio, focal point, negative space, and whether people or devices should be shown. Generate a clean background when text will be overlaid in the editor. Ask for a single subject when you need a thumbnail that remains legible at small sizes.
Use an editorial review checklist
- Is the subject factually and culturally appropriate for the page?
- Are hands, faces, screens, logos, and interface details plausible?
- Does the crop work on mobile as well as desktop?
- Does the contrast meet your accessibility requirements?
- Does the image contain accidental words, watermarks, or third-party marks?
- Do you have rights to any reference material and any recognizable person?
Keep the approved source in Files with a descriptive name and alt text. Add meaningful alt text in the content editor; do not rely on words that an image model happened to place inside the picture.
Can HubSpot create charts from my data?
Yes. This is a separate Breeze Assistant workflow, not the image-generation dialog. HubSpot documents data visualizations from CRM records, an uploaded CSV file, or public web data.
1. Open Breeze Assistant on desktop
Data visualizations are documented as desktop-only. Open Breeze Assistant from a desktop HubSpot session and describe the question you want the chart to answer.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →2. Specify the data and chart purpose
Be explicit about the source, date range, dimensions, measure, and preferred chart type. For example: “Using the uploaded CSV, plot monthly qualified leads by source from January through June as a line chart, label each month, and add a trend line.” For CRM data, name the object and fields and confirm that your user has permission to view the relevant records.
3. Refine with follow-up prompts
You can ask Breeze to change the chart type, add a trend line, adjust labels, or alter the presentation. Check totals and filters against the underlying records before sharing the result.
4. Export the visualization
HubSpot documents saving the resulting visualization as a PDF. The visualization is unique to the Breeze Assistant conversation: it cannot be saved to the report library or added directly to a dashboard. If you need a persistent, dashboard-ready report, build it with HubSpot’s custom reports workflow instead.
Image generation versus data visualization
| Need | HubSpot route | Main constraint |
|---|---|---|
| Illustration, banner, or other content image | Generate with AI in the content editor | Plan and AI-setting availability; brand identity has a higher stated tier requirement. |
| Chart from CRM or spreadsheet data | Breeze Assistant visualization | Desktop-only and not saved in reports or dashboards. |
| AI-assisted CTA that may include an image | Create CTA with AI | The cited HubSpot guide lists Marketing Hub or Content Hub Professional and Enterprise. |
| Broader campaign draft | Content agent in Marketing Studio or another documented tool | Credits, settings, plan eligibility, and human review apply. |
Other HubSpot routes you may see
Breeze in the editor
Breeze can generate and refine text in HubSpot editors, and its slash-command menu includes an image-generation option. This is useful when you are already drafting copy and want to create a visual without leaving the editor. The exact menu and permissions depend on the editor and account.
Rank #4
Content agent
HubSpot’s content agent is a broader campaign-content route for items such as blog posts, social posts, and landing pages. Its documentation says it uses account data, brand-voice settings, and context. Drafts require human review and editing before publication; they are not published automatically. Do not treat content agent as a prerequisite for the simpler image workflow.
Review, publishing, and governance
AI output is a draft, not an approval. HubSpot’s content-agent guidance explicitly requires review and editing before publication, and the same discipline is appropriate for generated images and visualizations.
- Have the content owner verify claims, numbers, names, and product representations.
- Check accessibility: meaningful alt text for informative images, decorative treatment for purely decorative art, readable contrast, and captions or nearby text for important chart conclusions.
- Keep a record of the source data and filters used for a chart so a later reader can reproduce the interpretation.
- Confirm that customer, employee, or other personal data was handled under your organization’s policy.
Troubleshooting HubSpot visual generation
“Generate with AI” is not visible
Confirm that the editor is one of the documented blog, website, landing-page, email, or social editors. Then ask an administrator to check generative AI access, your user permissions, the Content Hub tier, and Files data access if you need to save the asset. HubSpot can change feature availability without changing older screenshots or tutorials.
The image saves nowhere
Saving to Files requires Files data access. Request that permission or insert the image into the current content without saving a reusable copy, if your workflow allows it.
The result has incorrect text or branding
Remove text from the prompt’s expected artwork, regenerate with explicit “no readable text,” and add final wording in the editor. For brand-sensitive work, use approved assets and apply brand identity where your plan supports it.
Best Value
Breeze cannot build the requested chart
Use the desktop interface, verify that Breeze Assistant is enabled for your user, and check permissions to the CRM records involved. For a CSV, confirm that headers are clear and dates and numbers are consistently formatted. Narrow the request to one measure and one dimension, then add refinements.
The chart is missing from Reports or a dashboard
That is expected for Breeze Assistant visualizations: HubSpot says they are conversation-specific and cannot be stored in the report library or added to dashboards. Recreate the analysis as a custom report when persistence is required.
Or skip the browser setup
If your goal is a clean screenshot of a finished HubSpot page, preview, or any public URL rather than an AI-generated illustration or chart, ScreenshotNeo provides a one-call website screenshot API. It accepts consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be disabled. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status in X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers. Its MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients call take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for all options, including full-page and element captures, device presets, retina scale, PDF settings, custom CSS and JavaScript, waits, request blocking, authentication headers and cookies, geolocation, caching, signed links, asynchronous webhooks, bulk capture, and usage reporting. The same endpoint accepts familiar parameter names used by other screenshot APIs.
Python:
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
Node.js:
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
ScreenshotNeo’s Free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card. Paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots; every feature is included on every plan, and yearly billing provides two months free. Sign up for the free plan to try it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a generated HubSpot image in more than one asset?
Yes, save an approved result to HubSpot’s Files tool when your account has Files data access, then reuse that file where your permissions and licensing policy allow.
Are Breeze charts automatically added to dashboards?
No. HubSpot documents Breeze visualizations as unique to their conversation and says they cannot be added to dashboards; use custom reports for a persistent dashboard view.
Can I generate visuals from a phone?
The documented Breeze data-visualization workflow is desktop-only. Image controls can vary by editor, so check the current mobile and desktop interfaces in your account.
Does HubSpot publish AI-generated content without review?
HubSpot’s content-agent documentation says drafts are reviewed and edited before publication and are not published automatically. Apply the same approval standard to generated images and charts.
