There is no verified, universal menu path or folder location for PS3 emulator cache files on Android, so do not delete unfamiliar folders or assume that removing a game removes all of its data. Before broader actions such as clearing app data or uninstalling, back up saves and configuration.
First identify the emulator and build
“RPCS3” alone does not identify the exact Android interface or storage layout. The official RPCS3 download page lists Android support, and a separate RPCS3-Android project exists. That does not establish that every Android build uses the same controls or paths. The Android project is archived, so its older discussions should be treated as reports about particular builds and devices, not current universal instructions.

Check the emulator’s exact app name and version, along with your Android version. Then consult the app’s current help or documentation, or inspect its settings and game/library menus for a control explicitly labelled for cache or shader cache. The available label, location, and effect depend on the build; the sources do not verify a standard Android-specific sequence.
Choose the narrowest available cleanup action

Why a shader-cache setting may not free existing space
Upstream RPCS3 configuration includes a “Disable On-Disk Shader Cache” setting. That source does not show whether an Android fork exposes the setting, nor does toggling a setting establish that existing cache files are deleted. If your build has such an option, check its own documentation for what it changes before using it as a cleanup method.

Removing generated cache may mean the emulator has to generate it again, but the available sources do not establish how a particular Android build rebuilds shaders, how much storage a given user will recover, or what performance effect to expect.
Do not transfer desktop paths to Android
RPCS3’s support page lists cache and log locations for desktop platforms, not instructions for Android (RPCS3 support and quickstart). Android app storage can be subject to access restrictions; the archived Android project also discussed restrictions around Android/data (issue #74). A desktop path or file-management procedure is therefore not a safe basis for deleting files on a phone.

If there is no cache-only control
- Confirm the app name and version in the app’s information screen or its own settings.
- Check the current documentation or support channel for that exact build and ask specifically whether it provides a shader-cache cleanup that preserves saves, installed games, and configuration.
- Back up saves and configuration before selecting any option described as clear storage, clear data, uninstall, or reset.
- If no documented cache-only route exists, leave unknown app folders alone rather than attempting to bypass Android storage protections.
Removing a game from the library is not proof that every associated file has been removed. The archived report about leftover data is one user’s experience, not a guarantee that all builds behave the same way.
