If Marvel’s Wolverine visual or accessibility settings keep reverting, the official guidance does not identify a confirmed settings-persistence bug or a dedicated fix. Start by updating the game and PS5 system software, then quit and relaunch the game to check whether the option sticks. If it still reverts, record exactly what happens and contact Insomniac Support; treat relaunching or reloading a checkpoint as diagnostic steps, not guaranteed repairs.
First, establish what is reverting
Marvel’s Wolverine is a PS5 game, and its accessibility options include visual-comfort and presentation controls. Before troubleshooting, note the exact setting name and selected value. Insomniac lists options including Fullscreen Effects, Motion Blur, Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, Camera Shake, camera controls, visual assists, and High Contrast. Distinguish between a value that actually changes back and one that remains selected but whose visual effect is hard to notice. Also note whether the problem occurs when you return to a menu, or only after closing and reopening the game. These details help describe the issue; official sources do not establish them as known causes.
Update the game and PS5 system software
- Check for a Marvel’s Wolverine game update on your PS5 and install any available update.
- Check for a PS5 system software update and install it if available.
- Reopen the game and check the setting again.
Insomniac’s October 1, 2026 update 1.002.000 says it fixed several accessibility issues involving Navigation Assist, Lock-On, High Contrast, and Screen Reader behavior, along with some crashes and bugs. Its October 6, 2026 update 1.002.001 added a toggle for story-related Scent trails and addressed additional reported bugs and crashes. These notes show that the game has received fixes, but neither says it fixes settings reverting after restart. Quit and relaunch, then verify the value
- Quit Marvel’s Wolverine rather than leaving it suspended.
- Launch it again, navigate to the affected option, and check whether the selected value is still in place.
- If the value has changed, select the intended value and check it again after another normal close and relaunch.
Insomniac’s general support guidance recommends updating the game and PS5 system and trying a quit-and-relaunch step for persistent game issues. It does not identify this sequence as a specific settings-save fix, so use it to check whether the behavior is repeatable rather than expecting it to repair the cause. If the option is selected but the visual change is unclear
Check the specific option you changed rather than assuming every visual setting affects the same part of the image. Insomniac’s accessibility documentation lists effects and assists separately, including Motion Blur, Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, Camera Shake, Fullscreen Effects, and High Contrast controls. Revisit the exact setting and compare its selected value with what you intended. The official feature list describes these controls, but does not provide a settings-persistence troubleshooting sequence.

If the setting keeps reverting, collect details for support
If the same option reliably changes back, gather the information below before contacting Insomniac. This makes the report specific without assuming why the setting changed.

- Whether it changes after returning to a menu, after closing the game, or only after relaunching.
- The installed game version and PS5 system software version.
- Whether you closed the game normally and what value appeared when you checked again.
- Whether the option appears selected but its visual effect is difficult to perceive.
Insomniac’s general support page also mentions reloading a previous checkpoint and using an auto-backup save for persistent game issues. Those are general suggestions, not documented remedies for settings that fail to persist. Contact support through Insomniac’s ticket-submission guidance if the issue continues.

The official material available does not explain how individual settings are committed or saved, confirm a bug that makes visual or accessibility options revert, or provide a settings-specific repair. There is therefore no confirmed targeted fix to promise. Avoid deleting saves or using other drastic console procedures as a supposed solution to this issue.
