Identify where and how the problem occurs
Before changing settings, note the exact Star Wars title, platform or PC storefront, operating system if relevant, error message, and failure point: launcher, splash screen, loading, or gameplay. Also note whether it began after a game, graphics-driver, operating-system, or launcher update. This helps distinguish a local installation problem from a platform, account, connection, or game-specific issue.

Try the low-risk checks first
- Close the game and restart your device. Then launch the game again.
- Check EA and your platform’s service status if signing in, downloading, updating, or launching is affected. A service problem can resemble a local game fault.
- On PC, close unnecessary background applications if the game is slow, laggy, or having EA app connection issues.
Repair or verify game files on PC
Missing or corrupted installation files can cause startup failures, crashes, freezes, and unexpected errors. Use the repair or verification option for the storefront where the game is installed; menu names and steps can vary by client.

Check graphics drivers and performance settings
Electronic Arts Help says outdated graphics drivers can cause low frame rates, crashes, and other performance issues. That makes a driver check worthwhile, but does not prove an outdated driver is the cause of a particular crash.

- Check the GPU manufacturer’s current driver guidance, install an applicable update, and test the game again.
- If the driver is current and low frame rates or stuttering continue, lower the in-game graphics settings and retest.
For STAR WARS Zero Company, EA’s examples include the Display, Anti-aliasing & Upscaling, and Quality categories. Other Star Wars games may use different labels or options, so do not look for these exact menus in every title.

Choose targeted help based on the remaining symptom
- PC launch errors involving DirectX or the EA app: follow the relevant troubleshooting path in EA Help for the game and error.
- Unclear or persistent PC problems: prepare a DxDiag report to provide system and graphics details.
- Console crash or freeze: use the game’s support hub and select the matching platform and issue rather than applying PC-only file or driver steps.
- Problem persists after the relevant checks: contact EA or the platform’s support team with the title, platform, exact error, failure point, and steps already tried.
These routes are symptom-specific: crash or freeze, network connection, DirectX, EA app, and PC diagnostics are not interchangeable. A problem affecting several games may point toward a broader system or service issue; one isolated title may call for that game’s support instructions.
