If PlayStation App alerts are missing, first check the app’s push-notification categories, then compare its in-app notification list with your phone’s notification permissions. If the missing alerts are instead pop-ups on a PS5 screen, troubleshoot the console separately: its notification settings and Do Not Disturb controls do not govern phone alerts.
First, identify which notifications are missing
PlayStation has two different notification systems that can look like one problem:

Fix missing PlayStation App alerts on your phone
1. Turn on the relevant categories in the app
Open PlayStation App, go to Settings, and review the push-notification categories. The app provides controls for gaming, social, media, and account notifications. Enable the categories for the alerts you expect; the exact labels or grouping can vary with app releases. PlayStation App support
2. Check whether the notification appears inside the app
Open the Play screen in PlayStation App and inspect its notification list. PlayStation says this list remains available even when push notifications are turned off. If an item is listed there but no phone alert appeared, the notification exists in the app, but that alone does not identify whether the app’s push settings, phone permissions, or another delivery control prevented the alert.

3. Check the phone’s notification and background controls
In your phone’s operating-system settings, find PlayStation App and confirm that notifications are allowed. Also check whether an active Focus or Do Not Disturb mode, or a background-activity or battery restriction, could be suppressing alerts. Menu names and behavior differ by OS version and phone maker, so use the instructions for your specific device rather than relying on a universal path.
4. Update and retry
Check the phone’s app store for a PlayStation App update, then close and reopen the app. Restarting the phone and installing available updates are reasonable maintenance steps, but they are not a documented, guaranteed fix for mobile push delivery. PlayStation’s general update instructions cover PS5 and PS4 console software and applications, not a specific repair for phone notifications. Reinstalling the app is not established by those instructions as a cure.

Fix missing pop-ups on PS5
On the console, open Settings > Notifications to review on-screen pop-ups and previews. Also check Do Not Disturb from the PS5 control center. PlayStation says pop-ups do not appear while Do Not Disturb is active; they resume after it is disabled, or after you log out or restart the console. On the PlayStation App support page reviewed, PlayStation lists Android 6.0 or above and iOS 12.2 or above as installation requirements. These are the minimums stated on that page, not a guarantee that every device running those versions is compatible or will deliver alerts correctly. PlayStation App support
