For Kingdom Hearts on PC, start crash troubleshooting with the game update, graphics driver, and a restart; isolate controller conflicts by testing one input device at a time; and treat low frame rates as a game-specific performance issue rather than assuming one universal fix. Square Enix’s crash checklist is official guidance, while lowering graphics settings and closing background apps are general PC steps—not confirmed fixes for every Kingdom Hearts game.
First, identify which Kingdom Hearts game is affected
KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE is a bundle that includes KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. The system requirements and frame-rate targets below apply specifically to HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX; they should not be treated as requirements for every bundle component. Steam’s bundle listing identifies the included games.

Before changing settings, note which game has the problem and whether it is a crash, failure to launch, erratic input, or consistently low FPS. Make one change at a time so you can tell whether it helped.
Fix crashes, launch failures, and instability
Square Enix’s PC crash guidance recommends working through these steps in order:
#1 Best Overall
- Publisher Minori
- The HD remastered compilation brings six beloved KINGDOM HEARTS adventures to the PlayStation 4
- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 15 + 25 ReMIX gives fans the opportunity to experience all of their favourite moments from the series so far for the very first time on one platform
- The full list of titles included in KINGDOM HEARTS HD 15 + 25 ReMIX are KINGDOM HEARTS HD 15 ReMIX including KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX, KINGDOM HEARTS Re: Chain of Memories, KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (HD remastered cinematics)
- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 25 ReMIX including KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX, KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX, KINGDOM HEARTS Re: coded
- Confirm the game is online and up to date. Check that the PC is connected to the internet and install the latest available game version.
- Update the graphics-card driver. Use the update channel for your NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel graphics hardware.
- Restart the PC. Relaunch the affected game after Windows has restarted.
- Reinstall the game if the problem continues. Reinstallation is Square Enix’s next step after updating and restarting.
- Contact Square Enix if it still fails. Include Msinfo and Dxdiag files so support can review system details. See Square Enix’s PC crash troubleshooting article for the official procedure.
These steps are remedial guidance, not proof that every crash has the same cause. Avoid assuming a particular crash is a known game bug unless Square Enix has documented it for that game and version.
Generate the Msinfo and Dxdiag files
- Open the Windows Start menu, type
msinfo32, and open System Information. Wait for it to finish loading. - In System Information, select File > Save and save the resulting
.nfofile. After saving, wait at least a minute before closing System Information. - Open Start, type
dxdiag, and launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. - Select Save All Information and attach the saved file along with the Msinfo file when contacting Square Enix support.
Troubleshoot controller problems and erratic movement
Square Enix describes Xbox controllers, PlayStation DualShock controllers, PlayStation DualSense controllers, and Steam Input controllers as partially supported on PC. It also notes that keyboard and mouse may be needed to navigate part of a game. Check Square Enix’s PC controller support information for that qualification.

If movement is erratic or inputs seem to conflict, test one device at a time. Square Enix’s separate, general PC input article says an extra controller, joystick, or steering wheel can interfere even when it is not being used. Its suggestions are useful general troubleshooting, not a collection-specific diagnosis. Square Enix support describes the following checks:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Disconnect other controllers, joysticks, or steering wheels, then test the game with only the intended input device connected.
- Check that the controller connection is stable and that its calibration is correct.
- Temporarily disable third-party controller or remapping software, then test again.
- Use Windows Game Controllers to check or recalibrate the device if needed.
- If the conflict remains, restart with the controller disconnected and remove existing controllers through Control Panel before reconnecting and testing.
Try a supported controller method or keyboard and mouse where the game allows it. Replacing a controller is not a guaranteed fix: software, calibration, or another connected device can produce similar symptoms.

First compare the PC with the requirements for the particular game. Steam’s published figures for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX are:
| Published target | Operating system | Processor | Memory | Graphics | Storage and target |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Windows 10 64-bit, version 1909 or later | Intel Core i3-3210 or AMD A8-7600 | 4 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 or AMD Radeon RX 460 | DirectX 11; 60 GB available storage; 30 FPS at 1280×720 |
| Recommended | Windows 10 64-bit, version 1909 or later | Intel Core i3-3210 or AMD A8-7600 | 8 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 or AMD Radeon RX 460 | DirectX 11; 60 GB available storage; 60 FPS at 1920×1080 |
These are the listing’s published requirements and targets for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, not independently measured benchmarks or a promise of actual performance. The Steam listing for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX does not establish these figures for the other bundle games.

Steam’s FPS help is general advice: meeting listed requirements alone does not guarantee strong performance, and video options can affect FPS. The official sources do not document one verified low-FPS fix for the whole collection. Try these reversible PC troubleshooting steps, checking performance after each:
- Install available game updates and current graphics drivers.
- Close unusually demanding background applications and check whether frame rate changes.
- Lower a graphics option or resolution, then retest before changing another setting.
- If performance remains poor, compare the PC with the requirements for the affected game rather than applying HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX figures to the entire bundle.
Lowering settings and closing apps are general PC troubleshooting steps, not fixes Square Enix has verified for every Kingdom Hearts title. For additional background on FPS troubleshooting, see Steam’s general performance guidance.
When to escalate an unresolved problem
If the game continues to crash after the official checklist, send Square Enix the Msinfo and Dxdiag files. For persistent technical problems, Steam’s game-specific support route also directs players to Square Enix support. Keep a short record of the affected game, symptom, PC specifications, and steps already tried so the issue is easier to describe. Steam’s technical support route for HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX provides the game-specific starting point.
