If Garfield – Escape from Monday won’t launch, crashes, or stutters on your PC, start with low-risk checks: compare your full system with the game’s published requirements, update Windows and graphics drivers, verify the Steam files, and temporarily close non-essential programs. These are general Steam troubleshooting steps—not confirmed fixes for a known problem with this game.
Check whether your PC meets the requirements
Steam lists Garfield – Escape from Monday as a Windows game developed by OSome Studio and published by Microids, released on 24 September 2026. Compare every part of your PC with the store-page specifications; a suitable graphics card alone is not enough.

| Requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 or later | Windows 10 or later |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-7700K | Intel Core i7-8700K |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Nvidia GTX 1060 | Nvidia GTX 1070 |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 11 |
These are the specifications published on the Steam store page, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or smooth performance. Steam cautions that meeting system requirements alone does not ensure high FPS or strong in-game performance.
If Garfield: Escape from Monday won’t launch
Try these reversible checks in order. Steam recommends them as general launch troubleshooting; none is established as a game-specific cure.

- Compare your complete PC with the minimum requirements. Check the processor, RAM, graphics card, Windows version, and DirectX—not just one component. Steam notes that games may fail to launch when a machine is at or below a game’s requirements.
- Update Windows and your graphics driver. Install available updates through Windows and the graphics-card maker’s normal update method, restart the PC, then try launching again.
- Verify the game files in Steam. In your Steam Library, right-click Garfield – Escape from Monday, open Properties, choose Installed Files, then select Verify integrity of game files. Let Steam finish before retrying.
- Temporarily close non-essential programs. Exit background applications that are not needed to run the game, then try again. Steam notes that software interfering with Steam can prevent a game from starting. Reopen the programs afterward to see whether one affects launch.
If the game crashes after it opens
The available official guidance does not establish a particular crash cause or a confirmed crash fix for this title. You can still try the general checks above, especially file verification and closing non-essential software, but treat them as troubleshooting rather than a guaranteed solution.
Record whether the game alone closes, whether Windows shows an error, or whether the entire PC restarts. Those are different symptoms and useful distinctions when you contact support. Avoid deleting saves, changing BIOS settings, editing configuration files, or installing third-party driver-updater tools as generic crash fixes; no evidence here supports those steps for this game.

If Garfield: Escape from Monday stutters or has low FPS
Check your entire system against the requirements, make sure drivers are current, and close non-essential applications as basic checks. These steps may help identify a system or software issue, but Steam’s performance guidance says reduced FPS can have many causes and does not diagnose this game’s stuttering.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf the problem persists, note when it happens and whether other games show similar performance problems. Meeting the minimum specification does not promise high frame rates or consistently smooth play.

When to contact Microids support
If the game still will not start, keeps crashing, or has persistent stuttering after those checks, send Microids a clear report. Its support knowledge base lists a page for Garfield Escape from Monday, along with PC guidance on minimum requirements, driver updates, and retrieving Microids game logs.
- State whether the game never opens, closes during play, or runs with low or stuttering frame rates.
- Include your processor, graphics card, RAM, Windows version, and the exact error text, if any.
- Describe when the issue occurs and whether it affects other games.
- Follow Microids’ instructions for providing game logs if support requests them.
No confirmed Garfield-specific PC crash, stutter, or launch fix is established by these sources. A Steam community search result about a “BBQ Desert time trial bug” concerns a different reported issue and does not establish a fix for these PC symptoms.
