If FC Points are missing after you bought them, first confirm the purchase in the transaction history for the store or platform you used. Then restart the game and check your balance. If the Points still haven’t arrived after 24 hours, contact the appropriate support team with proof of purchase and the account and transaction details EA requests.
Before you troubleshoot, identify which situation you’re dealing with: a standalone Points purchase, Points included with an edition, or a transfer from an earlier FC game. Those are different cases, and the right next step depends on which one applies.

Check whether the purchase completed
Open the transaction history for the same platform or store where you bought the Points. A charge or payment notification by itself does not confirm that the in-game Points entitlement was delivered; check the transaction’s status in the store account used for the purchase. This first check helps separate a completed purchase with a missing in-game balance from a transaction that did not complete.

If the transaction is not shown as completed, the immediate issue is the purchase transaction rather than an in-game balance that needs to be refreshed. Follow up with the store where you bought the Points about that transaction. If it is completed but the Points are absent, continue with the in-game and service checks below. Keep any proof of purchase available in either case.
Try EA’s basic troubleshooting steps
- Restart the game. Close FC completely, start it again, and check the FC Points balance. EA Help’s instruction is: “Restart your game, then check for your FC Points.” This is a simple first step after verifying the purchase, because it gives you a fresh opportunity to check the balance. If Points appear, no support escalation for missing Points is needed.
- Check for a service issue. Look at EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication on X or WhatsApp for notices about issues affecting Points delivery. A service issue can explain why a completed purchase has not yet appeared in the game. If a notice indicates an active issue, keep track of the update rather than repeating the purchase.
- Check the server status for your platform. Check the status of the platform you are using. If the relevant service has an active issue, wait until it is resolved, then reopen the game and check the balance again. The relevant platform depends on where and how you play; do not assume that an issue on one platform means every platform is affected.

If the Points are still missing after 24 hours
EA’s guide sets 24 hours as the point to contact support if the Points have not appeared. EA says: “If you still can’t find your missing FC Points after 24 hours, we’ll need some information from you to help look into it:” This is EA’s troubleshooting threshold, not a guarantee that every purchase will take that long. You can complete the transaction, restart, and check service status during that period; if the Points remain missing after 24 hours, gather the information EA says it may need.

- Proof of purchase: Have the purchase confirmation or other proof available so support can investigate the transaction.
- The persona or account name: Provide the name associated with the account where the Points are missing. Make sure you identify the account that should have received the Points, not just a different account you also use.
- The console or platform: State where you play and which platform store was used for the purchase. EA lists PlayStation, EA app, Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Epic Games as relevant platform information.
- The purchase time and date: Include the time zone as well as the date and time. A timestamp without a time zone can be harder to interpret when the purchase and support review occur in different regions.
- The missing amount: Tell support how many Points you expected from the purchase and how many are missing.
- Any FC Points code: If you used a code, include that information.
- Other relevant details: Explain briefly what you have already checked, such as whether the transaction appears completed, whether you restarted the game, and whether you found an active service notice.

Check whether the Points are an edition benefit
Not every expected Points balance comes from a standalone purchase. Points may instead be part of an edition benefit, so first check what kind of entitlement you expected and when it is due. EA’s current missing-Points guide says Points included with EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Editions arrive in monthly drops rather than all at once.
If you expected Points included with one of those editions, check the current delivery details for that edition and whether the installment you expect is due before treating it as a failed separate purchase. A monthly drop is different from buying a Points pack directly: the full amount may not be intended to arrive at the same time. Confirm which installment you are waiting for, then compare that expectation with the edition’s delivery details.

This timing statement applies specifically to the named FC 27 editions; it should not be assumed for other editions or releases. If your expectation concerns a different game or edition, do not rely on the FC 27 monthly-drop schedule. Check the terms that apply to the edition you own. If an installment that should have arrived is still missing, use the same account and platform details when contacting support.
When the issue is a transfer from FC 25 to FC 26
A transfer is different from a missing purchase. If your balance seems short because you expected FC 25 Points to appear automatically in FC 26, check the transfer rules before taking action. EA’s “Transfer Points from EA SPORTS FC™ 25 to EA SPORTS FC™ 26” guide, accessed October 13, 2026, says the transfer must be started in FC 26 on console or PC. The option appears the first time you log in to any mode in FC 26. You cannot initiate it from the Ultimate Team Web or Companion Apps.
- Console family: Points can move only within the same console family, including between older and newer generations of the same console type. EA gives Xbox Series X|S to PlayStation 5 as an example of a transfer that is not allowed. If you are using a different console family, do not expect the transfer option to move Points across them.
- Permanent choice: A completed transfer cannot be moved back to FC 25. Do not initiate it as a general missing-Points troubleshooting step. It is a one-way decision, not a way to refresh a balance or undo a purchase that has not arrived.
- EA Play caveat: EA warns that an EA Play member who transfers Points into FC 26 but does not buy the full game will not get those Points back on FC 25. Consider that warning before transferring if you do not own the full game.
If you decide a transfer is what you need, sign in to FC 26 on console or PC and use the option presented on the first login to a mode. Do not look for the transfer action in the Web or Companion Apps. Check that the console family is eligible and that you accept the permanent direction of the move before confirming. If your issue is an unreceived standalone purchase, however, follow the missing-purchase checks instead; a transfer is not a generic recovery method.

- The store does not show a completed transaction: Follow up with the store where you purchased the Points. A payment notification alone does not establish that the entitlement reached the game.
- The purchase is complete and the Points are missing: Restart FC, check EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication on X or WhatsApp, and review the platform’s server status. If they remain missing after 24 hours, contact the appropriate support team with the requested evidence and account details.
- You expected Points with an edition: Check the delivery schedule for the exact edition. For FC 27 Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Editions, EA says Points arrive in monthly drops.
- You expected FC 25 Points in FC 26: Check the transfer rules. The transfer is initiated in FC 26, limited to the same console family, and permanent.
These cases have different causes and next steps. A completed purchase that has not appeared calls for troubleshooting and possibly support; an edition benefit calls for checking the delivery terms; and a cross-game balance expectation calls for checking transfer eligibility. Keeping those distinctions clear helps avoid repeating a purchase or making an irreversible transfer that does not address the problem.
