3. Test without resource-heavy apps and overlays
Close other programs before launching the game, especially recording software and performance overlays. 5. Confirm the game is using the right GPU and power profile
Desktop PCs and dual-GPU systems
If your computer has integrated and discrete graphics, make sure Dragon’s Dogma 2 is assigned to the intended high-performance GPU. Capcom notes that the integrated GPU can override the discrete GPU. 6. Verify the game files through Steam
Steam can check for missing or damaged game files and reacquire files that need replacing. In your Steam Library, right-click Dragon’s Dogma 2 and choose Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the check to finish, then launch the game again. 8. Check compatibility, display, DirectX, and heat
- Compatibility Mode: If Compatibility Mode is enabled for the game executable, disable it and retest.
