First, determine whether the problem is project-side or local
A failed connection can come from two different places: the revival itself, or your device and network. A router reboot may help with an unstable local connection, but it cannot fix a project server outage or a broken game build.

- Check project announcements. Find the current announcement or community channel linked by the revival maintainer. If it reports an outage, wait for a project update rather than changing your router settings.
- Confirm the build and login steps. Follow the maintainer’s current instructions for the game version and account flow. Do not assume older login directions still apply.
- Check your internet and ISP. Test another online service, and check with your ISP for an outage or performance issue. Epic Games Store Support recommends checking service status, contacting the ISP, and rebooting the router when game connection or login fails: Why can’t I connect to the game’s servers?
- Reboot the router and test again. After restarting it, try connecting to the revival again. Change one thing at a time so you can tell whether the connection improved.
- Isolate Wi-Fi and bandwidth issues. If possible, test with Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, and pause other bandwidth-heavy activity. Activision lists wired connections, router restarts, and reducing competing bandwidth use among its general connection tips: Online Services. A wired test can help identify a Wi-Fi problem; it cannot repair a server outage, account issue, or faulty build.
- Send the maintainer useful details if it still fails. Record the exact error text, the time and time zone, your game build or version, whether offline play works, and whether the same failure occurs on another network. Share these details through the project’s current communication channel.
What the revival’s current status does—and does not—tell you
GamesRadar+ reported on October 5, 2026 that the fan restoration had entered playtesting and was playable online or offline. It also relayed creator EpicNNG’s warning to “expect bugs, broken skills, animations, server outages, and more inconveniences” while the project is being improved. That makes a project-side problem plausible, but it does not identify the cause of any individual login error or confirm whether servers are up right now.

The report also says EpicNNG reported 1,000 accounts created in the first four hours of launch. That is a launch-period account-creation count, not a measure of current active players, server capacity, or reliability.

The available reporting does not establish BLOL-specific steps such as deleting files, changing ports, disabling security protections, or using third-party account tools. Do not try those as generic fixes. If the project’s current instructions do not cover your error, send the maintainer the details you recorded and wait for guidance.
