Fandom offers a few documented ways to fix view preferences and report disruptive ads or bugs, but it does not publish a general fix for slow-loading wiki pages. If a page looks wrong on your phone, start with the footer’s mobile/desktop switch; if an ad covers content or behaves suspiciously, report it to Fandom Support. Wiki editors can improve mobile layouts by testing on a phone and simplifying page structure.
Fix Fandom’s mobile or desktop view
Fandom’s view switch is at the bottom of the page. On a mobile page, look for View full site; on a desktop page, look for View mobile site. Fandom says it remembers the selection. See Fandom’s instructions for switching layouts.

- Scroll to the footer and select the view you want.
- Reload the same page to check whether the change took effect.
- If a phone keeps showing the desktop view, check whether the browser is set to request desktop pages for Fandom.
- Try a regular article as well as the page that appears broken. Some page types, including User pages, do not support a mobile layout.
If the problem affects supported pages even after these checks, report the issue rather than assuming it is a setting you can change.

FandomDesktop preferences include controls to expand the content area, collapse the right sidebar, and choose a light or dark theme. Sidebar collapse is available only to logged-in users. Report ads that cover content or interrupt reading
Fandom distinguishes intrusive or harmful ad behavior from an ad that is merely unwanted. Its examples of reportable problems include ads that cover or overlap content, flash or move disruptively, play audio automatically, trigger redirects or pop-ups, use fake close buttons or invisible click areas, or attempt malicious downloads or execution. Simplify the page structure
- Keep the hierarchy clear and put important information near the top. Infoboxes appear at the top of mobile pages.
- Place images close to the text they explain; desktop-oriented positioning can separate an image from its context on a phone.
- Avoid nested tables or tables used only to arrange page layout. For wide data tables, reduce columns or split the information when that improves readability; some tables may require horizontal swiping.
- Limit wide navigation boxes on portrait screens and use an appropriate template type.
Check styling and narrow screens
Fandom’s guide warns that inline CSS may not apply on mobile. For mobile styling, it recommends TemplateStyles for page-specific rules or MediaWiki:FandomMobile.css for sitewide rules, subject to Fandom’s customization requirements. Review infoboxes, galleries, and tables at a narrow viewport; complex multi-column designs can still be difficult to use even where the platform has mobile-specific presentation.
Fandom’s mobile-web guide describes about 360 px as a common mobile screen width globally and suggests checking that width. It also says around half of visitors to Fandom communities use mobile devices; a separate Fandom mobile page says more than half of Fandom users visit pages from mobile. These are Fandom-published figures, and the cited pages do not expose publication years, so they should be treated as guidance rather than a current independent measurement. See Fandom’s mobile help page.

What to do when Fandom pages load slowly
Fandom’s cited support guidance does not establish a general reader checklist or guarantee a fix for slow wiki loading. It also does not provide a current measured Fandom page-load time. Avoid assuming that ads, a particular browser, cache settings, or a device are the cause without evidence specific to the affected page.
Check Fandom’s known-issues index for current reported problems. If you can reproduce the slowdown, submit a bug report through the support routes listed on the FandomDesktop layout help page, describing the affected page and what happens. A clear report is more useful than a speculative fix.
