Make small changes and test again. CameraFi warns that using this adjustment on YouTube may affect the saved broadcast, so check both the live playback and the archive.
Adjust CameraFi Live’s Audio Sync setting
- Open CameraFi Live and tap the hamburger menu.
- Open Settings, find Labs, and enable Audio Sync.
- Return to the main screen and tap the microphone icon.
- Use the + or − controls to change the sync setting. Make a small adjustment, then test again rather than making a large change at once.
- Check the result in the live playback and, after the broadcast, in the saved YouTube video.
CameraFi’s instructions describe the feature as a way to adjust synchronization when an external camera is connected or when video and audio have a sync issue caused by error or delay. The instructions are from 2020 and describe Audio Sync as a Labs feature; menu labels or availability may differ in a later app version. CameraFi’s official FAQ still links to an Audio Sync tutorial. Find out where and when the mismatch occurs
Before changing settings repeatedly, identify the pattern. Compare live playback with the saved broadcast, and note whether the mismatch is present immediately or becomes more noticeable as the stream continues. These checks help describe the problem; they do not establish its cause by themselves.
- Live and archive both have the mismatch: test the Audio Sync adjustment and verify both results after each small change.
- Only the saved video is affected: do not assume the live adjustment is the right repair for the archive. CameraFi specifically warns that Audio Sync on YouTube may cause a problem with the saved video after the broadcast.
- The problem seems tied to one audio source: if practical, make a short test with a different available input. CameraFi documents built-in, wired, Bluetooth, USB-camera, and recorded audio inputs. Comparing them is a diagnostic step, not evidence that any particular input type causes sync problems.
CameraFi also says the sync adjustment applies to audio in the VIDEO3 recorded file. Keep that in mind if you use VIDEO3, and inspect its recording as well. CameraFi FAQ

Check that the issue is not an uploaded-file problem
If you are troubleshooting an already edited video uploaded to YouTube rather than a live CameraFi broadcast, YouTube’s upload guidance says to make sure the audio and video track durations are the same. It recommends editing the tracks before uploading when their durations differ. That advice concerns uploaded files; it is not a CameraFi Live control for correcting a live stream. When Audio Sync is missing or does not solve it
If you cannot find the setting
Check the installed app’s current menus and version. CameraFi’s published instructions for the Labs control date from 2020, so the interface may not match your installation. CameraFi’s release notes list an Android per-audio-source sync feature in v1.32.37.603, released June 7, 2022, and also list later Android and iOS entries; they do not establish which version is available to you or that every version has identical controls. If the mismatch remains
Contact CameraFi at [email protected]. Include your phone model, operating system, CameraFi Live version, audio and video sources, whether audio leads or lags, when the offset begins, and whether it appears in live playback, the saved broadcast, or both. These details make it easier to distinguish a constant offset from one that changes over time.
