Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf Burning Sword: Death Sun crashes, will not launch, or opens to a black screen, first confirm that you are using a publicly available build and that your PC meets the game’s listed requirements. Then try Steam’s general low-risk launch checks: restart, update Windows and graphics drivers, verify the installed game files, and close non-essential software. These are platform-level checks, not confirmed fixes for a known game-specific bug.
First confirm which version you can actually run
Steam’s store listing currently describes the full game as “Coming soon” and says it is not yet available on Steam. A Steam Community announcement dated September 18, 2026 says a new demo and update are on the way, but gives no release date. Check the current store and community pages to establish whether you have an available demo or another build; do not assume instructions for an earlier demo or a different platform apply to it.

Record the build or demo version, your Windows version, CPU, graphics card, RAM, free disk space, and the exact error text. This makes it easier to distinguish a compatibility problem from a game-specific issue if you need support.

| Additional storage note | “15GB SATA SSD” | “15GB SSD PCIe compatible” |
The listing’s SSD notes are worded separately from its 50 GB available-storage requirement and do not explain how the figures relate. Treat them as written rather than assuming they change the stated free-space requirement. If Steam reports “Game is not available on your current platform,” check OS support and the requirements above; Steam says that message indicates the game is not supported on the current operating system.
Being at or near minimum requirements does not identify the cause of a particular crash or black screen. Steam notes generally that systems near a game’s requirements may have launch or performance problems, but a symptom alone is not evidence that you need to replace a component.
Try Steam’s general launch checks
Steam recommends the following for games that fail to launch. None has been confirmed as a Burning Sword: Death Sun-specific fix.
- Restart the PC. Retry the game before changing other settings so you have a clear baseline.
- Update Windows and your graphics drivers. Install available updates, restart if prompted, and test again.
- Verify the installed game files in Steam. In your Steam Library, open the game’s properties and use Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Let the check finish, then retry.
- Close non-essential software that could interfere. Exit overlays, recording tools, and other background applications temporarily, then test. Reopen them afterward one at a time if the game works, so you can identify whether one changes the result.
Change one thing at a time and note the outcome. If a step makes no difference, that does not establish a particular underlying cause; it simply means that check did not resolve the issue in your current build and setup.

If the game shows a black screen or stays on the loading screen
A Steam Community discussion contains an individual report titled “Stuck in loading PC + Steamdeck.” It is dated and anecdotal, and does not establish that current Windows builds have a widespread black-screen problem. A developer-side comment in that thread said the studio did not then have a Steam Deck available to verify the issue.
No supported, game-specific black-screen setting or workaround is established in the available official material. Try the general checks above, note whether the game is stuck loading or the display goes black after launch, and include that distinction in a support request. Do not apply a Deck-specific anecdote to a Windows PC as though it were a confirmed fix.
Avoid generic launch commands presented as game fixes
Do not add Source-engine flags such as -autoconfig, -safe, or -dxlevel as a speculative fix. Steam’s display troubleshooting options are intended for Valve games and do not necessarily apply to third-party titles. No Burning Sword: Death Sun-specific launch command has been verified. Use one only if the developer documents it for the build you are running.

When to contact support
If Steam’s general checks do not help, Steam recommends contacting the game’s developer for in-depth support. Use the current official Steam store or community route; a direct developer support address or dedicated troubleshooting page is not established here. Include:
Quick Recap
- The exact error message, or a description of when the crash or black screen occurs.
- Your Windows version, CPU, GPU, RAM, and available disk space.
- The demo or build version you are using.
- Which checks you tried and what changed, if anything.
