For an A50 X microphone that sounds choppy or unclear, first turn off Noise Gate in G HUB or the Logitech G mobile app, then connect the base station directly to your PC or console instead of through a USB hub or dock. For a black screen, flicker, or video artifacts, check the HDMI cable path. Other no-sound or base-station connection problems need A50 X-specific setup guidance; do not use reset or firmware steps meant for older Astro A50 models.
A50 X mic is choppy or unclear
- Temporarily turn off Noise Gate. In G HUB or the Logitech G mobile app, disable Noise Gate and check whether microphone clarity improves. Logitech advises checking that the setting is not too aggressive for your environment.
- Connect the base station directly. If it is plugged into a USB hub or docking station, move its USB connection to a port on the PC or game system and test again.
- Restore access to the setting if needed. If you uninstalled the app after changing Noise Gate, Logitech says to reinstall it to change the setting again. Logitech also names a factory reset as an alternative; use the A50 X support guidance rather than an unverified button combination.

A50 X black screen, flickering, or video artifacts
Separate HDMI video passthrough trouble from headset audio or microphone faults. Logitech says the A50 X does not require an HDMI 2.1 television and supports legacy HDMI versions. For black screens, flickering, or artifacts, Logitech suggests trying HDMI 2.1 certified cables and points to the HDMI Forum Ultra High-Speed Cable Certification Program. This cable suggestion concerns video symptoms; it is not a remedy for audio routing, microphone, or wireless problems.

A50 X has no sound or won’t connect to the base station
For platform-specific audio routing, base-station connection, and setup steps, use Logitech’s A50 X Getting Started support page, which provides device-specific setup materials and current support options. The available support information does not establish a complete universal routing checklist or pairing sequence, so the right steps may depend on the connected platform.
Do not apply older A50 Gen 2, Gen 3, or Gen 4 instructions for mode switches, optical cables, or button resets to the A50 X. Its base-station hardware and procedures differ.

Choose software made for the A50 X
Logitech’s software compatibility list lists G HUB for A50 X LIGHTSPEED and also lists the Logitech G mobile app for A50 X. Astro Command Center is listed for older A50 Gen 3 and Gen 4 models, not as the A50 X troubleshooting app. Use the current A50 X-specific software listing rather than older Command Center firmware instructions.
