For ARC Raiders crashes on PC, start with the exact point of failure and any error code: Embark’s official guidance has different steps for menu crashes, Easy Anti-Cheat errors, and named exit codes. For stuttering or low FPS, check Steam’s hardware baseline and update relevant drivers, but note that Embark has not published a universal performance fix or measured FPS gains.
Start with the symptom and your PC’s baseline
Separate a crash during startup, at the menu, or while loading from poor performance during a match. Record the exact error text or code, and note whether the game is installed through Steam. Steam’s published requirements are a compatibility baseline, not a promise of a particular frame rate or a guarantee that crashes will stop.

These are the tiers published on Steam’s ARC Raiders support page, accessed October 7, 2026. They do not identify which component is limiting a particular PC or establish that buying an upgrade will solve a symptom.

Fix crashes in the menu or while loading
- Check the minimum requirements. Compare your PC’s Windows version, processor, memory, and graphics hardware with the minimum tier above.
- Try disabling Raider Voice (Beta). If it is enabled and the crash happens in the main menu or during loading, Embark recommends trying the game with the beta feature off; it may cause crashes for some players.
- Check relevant drivers. Embark advises checking for updates, especially for the graphics driver, and also lists CPU, motherboard/BIOS, monitor, network adapter or modem, and peripheral drivers. To identify your GPU in Windows, open Run, enter
dxdiag, and check the Display tab. Get graphics drivers from the GPU maker’s official utility or support channel. - Update Windows and DirectX. Check Windows Update, install available updates, and restart. Embark also directs players to Microsoft for the latest DirectX.
- Verify the Steam installation. In Steam, go to Library → right-click ARC Raiders → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. This step applies to the Steam version.

Match Easy Anti-Cheat fixes to the exact error
Error 30005
Embark says Error 30005 can occur when Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) cannot start the game, often because another program, such as antivirus software, has locked an EAC file. Reboot the PC first. If the error remains, Embark suggests an antivirus exclusion for Program Files (x86)EasyAntiCheat_EOS. Keep any exception limited to that named directory and follow the official EAC instructions.
EAC Windows Service issue
For an EAC-related launch error, Embark says its EAC self-repair tool may help. The support page describes this as an advanced Command Prompt step and links to EAC instructions; follow those directions rather than running unrelated commands.

“Maximum simultaneous game instances reached”
Open Task Manager and look for an ARC Raiders process that may still be running; end it if present. If no process is visible, Embark says a full reboot is needed to clear the EAC driver state. See its instructions for this message.

Exit Code 0 or 0x1
Embark says these codes can occur when the game is configured to run as administrator, and that turning off the compatibility setting usually resolves them. Locate the relevant PioneerGame application, open Properties → Compatibility, uncheck Run this program as an administrator, and select Apply. Use Embark’s exit-code guidance to identify the relevant file and confirm the steps.

Exit Code 0x3
Embark attributes this code usually to a damaged Cerebro.dll. Its instructions are to delete that file from the game’s Win64 binaries folder, then verify the Steam game files so the file is replaced. Because this involves deleting a game file, follow the official steps and make sure you have the correct install folder.
System Integrity Violation ARAV8007
Embark says this indicates unexpected changes to the game’s file structure. Deleting and reinstalling the ARC Raiders game folder may help, but it is more disruptive than verifying files. Confirm the correct installation folder and use the official instructions before proceeding.

What to do about stuttering or low FPS
The reviewed official guidance gives a requirements baseline and general compatibility checks, but it does not publish a recommended graphics preset, a controlled benchmark, or a guaranteed solution for stuttering and low FPS. It also reports no measured frame-rate gain from any suggested step. Check whether your PC is below Steam’s minimum tier, update relevant drivers through the hardware vendor, and change one setting at a time while observing whether the symptom changes. Do not assume a particular setting or hardware purchase will produce a specific improvement.

If crashes continue
After trying the applicable checks for your symptom or exact code, Embark suggests disabling overlays or third-party software. Avoid changing unrelated BIOS, security, or system settings based only on a generic crash. If the issue persists, contact Embark support and include the exact error, when it occurs, and the steps already tried. Its technical index separates guidance for system requirements, connection, loading, crashes, and CPU instability.
