Each points to a different troubleshooting path. NC’s published requirements give a useful PC compatibility baseline, and its support team documents one specific remedy for Steam error 1138:100134. The official material does not establish a universal fix or numeric network targets.
First, identify the symptom
Before changing settings, note what happens and when. A game that cannot reach the login server calls for a different check than one that logs in but freezes or responds slowly.

If you cannot log in, check the official AION 2 Steam community notices before troubleshooting your PC or home network. A maintenance notice published for October 6, 2026 PDT / October 7, 2026 CEST said login would be unavailable during the scheduled work and noted that the schedule could change. That dated notice is not proof of a current outage; look for the latest announcement and its stated time window.

NC’s AION 2 Global Support requirements list these minimum and recommended configurations. Meeting a listed tier indicates compatibility guidance, not a guarantee that every session will be smooth.

These specifications come from NC’s AION 2 Global Installation Guide. If your hardware is below minimum, that is a reason to investigate performance limits; it does not by itself prove the cause of a particular freeze or disconnection.

Use the official FHD graphics preset as a baseline
NC’s requirements pair the minimum tier with Very Low at FHD and the recommended tier with Low at FHD. Use the preset corresponding to your hardware tier as a conservative starting point when investigating low or uneven FPS. These settings are compatibility recommendations, not a promise that changing graphics will fix stuttering.
Fix Steam error 1138:100134
If the message says “Failed to reset Steam account linking. Please check Steam’s status and restart the game,” NC documents a specific step for this error:

- Close the game.
- Run Steam as an administrator.
- Launch AION 2 again.
- If error 1138:100134 persists, submit a request to AION 2 Customer Service.
NC says this error can occur in a variety of cases; the documented administrator-and-relaunch step is specifically for this linking error, not a general fix for lag or other connection problems.

The published requirement says only “Broadband Internet connection.” It does not specify a ping, bandwidth, or packet-loss threshold, or an AION 2-specific sequence for diagnosing delayed actions, rubber-banding, or disconnects. The available official guidance also does not verify that a VPN, gaming route optimizer, router replacement, or DNS change will fix these symptoms.

To make a support request more useful, record the exact error code or message, server or region, time the issue occurred, whether other online games have similar problems, and your PC’s CPU, RAM, and graphics card. This is practical information to include, not a stated NC submission requirement.
