Open Locker → Sidekicks and select the Sidekick you own. If it is missing, confirm you are signed in to the Epic account that earned or purchased it, clear Locker filters, and check Archived items. Sidekick quests are separate: find them in Quests under the paw-shaped Sidekicks section.
Equip a Sidekick from the Locker
- Open Fortnite’s Locker.
- Choose Sidekicks.
- Select the Sidekick you own.
Epic identifies the Sidekicks section as the place to find and customize these cosmetics. Customization is not required to equip one, and not every Sidekick offers customization. Epic’s instructions say that once you lock in a customized appearance, the choice is permanent. Epic’s Sidekick introduction explains the Locker and customization options.

If the Sidekick is missing from your Locker
Work through these checks before treating it as an equip bug. Epic’s missing-item guidance applies to Fortnite items generally, so these are useful checks rather than a guaranteed Sidekick-specific fix.
- Confirm the Epic account. Check that Fortnite is signed in to the account that bought or earned the Sidekick. If it came from a purchase, compare that account with the one shown on the receipt.
- Clear Locker filters. A filter can hide an item from the list.
- Check Archived items. Epic’s general missing-item checklist recommends checking the archive as well.
- Review the item’s grant conditions. Promotions may require a particular purchase or linked account. Check the official terms for the specific Sidekick.
See Epic’s missing-item checklist for its general account, receipt, filter, and archive checks.

For a Sidekick granted through a promotion
Requirements depend on the promotion. For the Super Meat Boy 3D offer, Epic says the qualifying purchase and Fortnite account must match, and connected console accounts must be linked to the Epic account. Refunding the qualifying game purchase removes a Sidekick granted through that offer. These conditions apply to that promotion, not automatically to other Sidekicks. Check Epic’s Super Meat Boy 3D offer details.
Allow time only when Epic documents a delay
Epic has documented a delay for Bonesy: owners of the Bonesy Back Bling were to receive the Sidekick on November 7, and Epic’s October 30, 2025 introduction said it might take a bit to appear in the Locker. This is Bonesy-specific guidance, not a general delivery window for every Sidekick. Read Epic’s Bonesy support page.

Find Sidekick quests separately
- Open Quests.
- Select the paw-shaped Sidekicks section.
- Choose the relevant Sidekick to view its available quests.
If a Sidekick’s quests are all complete, it may no longer appear in that quest list. That does not, by itself, mean the cosmetic is missing from the Locker. When quests remain, the Locker menu also offers a Go to Quest option. Epic’s Sidekick introduction describes the quest section and navigation.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhen to contact Epic Player Support
If the account, Locker search, archive, and any relevant promotion conditions do not explain the problem, contact Epic Player Support. Include the Sidekick’s name, the platform, the Epic account you used, and—if relevant—the date or proof of the qualifying entitlement. The official guidance cited here does not establish a universal cache-clearing, reinstall, or platform-specific fix, so those steps should not be treated as confirmed solutions.
