On most Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, find the Wi-Fi MAC address at Settings > About phone > Status information. Look for Phone Wi-Fi MAC address or Tablet Wi-Fi MAC address. If you need to register your Galaxy with a particular Wi-Fi network, check that network’s details too: Android may use a different, randomized MAC address for each network.
Find your Galaxy’s Wi-Fi MAC address
- Open Settings.
- Tap About phone.
- Tap Status information.
- Read the value beside Phone Wi-Fi MAC address or Tablet Wi-Fi MAC address.
Samsung documents this route in its Galaxy internet connection instructions, and the Galaxy S23-series manual also places Wi-Fi MAC information under About phone > Status information.

Find the address used on a specific Wi-Fi network
If you are registering your phone with a router, school, workplace, or other managed network, the device-level address may not be the one that network sees. Android can use a randomized MAC address for an individual Wi-Fi network.

- Open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the connected network or its settings/details icon.
- Look for the MAC address or privacy setting in that network’s details. Depending on your Galaxy model and software version, the displayed wording and location can vary.
For network registration, use the address shown for that network, or ask the network administrator which address they require. Android’s MAC randomization documentation explains that randomization is configurable per network.

Why your Galaxy can show more than one MAC address
A MAC address identifies a network interface. It is commonly shown as six pairs of hexadecimal characters, such as 00:11:22:AA:BB:CC. Android documents MAC addresses as 48 bits, or twelve hexadecimal digits.
The factory Wi-Fi MAC address is the device-level value. When connecting to Wi-Fi, Android 10 and later use randomized MAC addresses by default. This privacy feature makes it harder for observers to follow a device across networks using one stable address. The randomized value may be associated with a particular network profile; Android also documents non-persistent randomization in some situations on Android 12 and later. As a result, do not assume the same address is used on every network or remains unchanged in every configuration.

If the MAC address field is missing
- Check Settings > About phone > Status information for the Samsung field name appropriate to your phone or tablet.
- If you need the address for a particular connection, open that Wi-Fi network’s details and inspect its MAC or privacy information.
- Menu names and placement vary by Galaxy model and software version. Consult the manual for your exact model if these paths do not match your device.
