Valve says Steam Frame compatibility results are visible while browsing games in your Steam library or the Steam store. Its published documentation does not specify an exact library filter control or menu path, so there is no verified step-by-step filter route to give here. Look for the Steam Frame compatibility badge on a game’s listing; do not assume that a SteamOS or Linux filter is the same thing.
Where to look for Steam Frame compatibility
Valve’s Steam Frame Standalone Compatibility Review Process says published review results are visible when browsing games in the Steam library or store. The documentation does not name a specific filter, menu, or control for narrowing the library to a badge category. Because those interface details are not established in Valve’s documentation, use the compatibility information shown on individual game listings rather than relying on a guessed menu path.

If you want to narrow a large collection, check the current Steam client for a Steam Frame-specific filter, but treat it as available only if you can see it in your client. Valve’s Steam Support instructions for platform filtering describe a Steam Store “SteamOS + Linux” operating-system filter. That is not identified as a Steam Frame Standalone Verified filter and should not be used as a substitute for a Frame badge.
What the four Steam Frame badges mean
The badges describe Valve’s review of a game running locally on Steam Frame. They distinguish whether it passes review, needs user intervention, has a known incompatibility, or has not yet been reviewed.

These labels guide how games are presented, not whether they can be purchased or accessed. Valve states: “The results of a compatibility review will not affect whether your game is available to customers on Frame, but will affect how it is presented.”
Verified is about running the game on the headset, not streaming it
“Steam Frame Standalone Verified” specifically evaluates a game running locally on the headset. Valve says the review does not apply to games running on a PC and streamed to Frame. A title’s standalone badge therefore does not describe its streaming performance, and a game that streams successfully is not thereby established as Verified for local play.

Steam Frame is a PC running SteamOS on an Arm64 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. Valve documents Proton for Windows games, Lepton for Android games, and FEX for x86 games as execution paths on the device. Those compatibility layers explain how software from different platforms can run; their availability does not mean every title works well standalone or has passed review. Valve’s published review criteria include minimum normal-play performance thresholds: 30 frames per second at 1280×720 for 2D titles and 72 frames per second at 1728×1728 for VR titles. The review also considers physical controls, controller glyphs, readable interface text, and launchers. These are Valve’s review thresholds, not a guarantee of identical performance in every player’s setup. The criteria are described in the compatibility review process.

How to use the labels when sorting your library
- Start with Verified when you want the clearest indication that a title passed the standalone checks without configuration work.
- Check Playable titles individually if you are willing to handle manual setup or adjustments.
- Do not treat Unknown as a failure. It means Valve’s review is incomplete and provides no compatibility conclusion.
- Keep Unsupported distinct from streaming. The badge concerns local execution; it does not assess a game streamed from your PC.
Valve has not provided a dated count of how many games currently carry each Steam Frame badge in the cited official material, so a current total cannot be stated here.
