If a piece is missing from a new LEGO set, use LEGO’s official replacement-parts page and choose the route for a piece missing from a new set. For a damaged piece, use the broken-piece route; to obtain a part for another project, use “Buy pieces” or LEGO Pick a Brick. The correct route depends on why you need the piece, and availability and terms can vary by country.
Identify the missing piece before you contact LEGO
Compare the build with the instructions and the parts inventory to confirm which element is absent. Note the set number and the element ID shown in the parts list at the back of the instructions. If the paper booklet is missing, LEGO says digital building instructions are available through LEGO.com/service.

If the element does not appear in the online request selector, LEGO’s UK help guidance says to contact customer service with a complete description of the piece, its element ID, and the set number. Those details help LEGO identify the correct part.

Choose the right replacement-parts route

Submit the request or buy the part
- Open LEGO’s replacement-parts page and select the route that matches your situation: missing from a new set, broken, or buying a piece.
- For a missing piece, identify the set and element in the selector. If you cannot find the part, contact LEGO customer service and provide the set number, element ID, and a complete description.
- For a broken piece, submit the request through the broken-piece route rather than the missing-from-new-set route.
- For a purchase, use “Buy pieces” or Pick a Brick and confirm that the element and color match what you need. If considering a bulk assortment from another seller, check the exact contents; an assortment may not include the precise piece.
What to expect after ordering
LEGO’s UK help page says it will email when replacement pieces are on the way. LEGO’s order-tracking guidance says standard Pick a Brick orders and replacement-piece orders for missing or broken parts cannot be tracked through its standard tracking system. The cited guidance does not provide a specific delivery estimate for those orders.
