Amazon Seller Central’s current United States guidance says products fulfilled by Amazon are eligible for free shipping on orders over $35, but the offer for your selected items and destination is what matters at checkout.
How to find free-shipping items without Prime
- Open the product detail page. Look for the “FREE shipping” offer and check the delivery estimate for your selected address. Amazon says an item fulfilled by Amazon with that offer counts toward the minimum: Amazon’s shipping explainer.
- Add eligible items to your cart. Amazon Seller Central’s United States guidance says products fulfilled by Amazon are eligible for free shipping on orders over $35. Treat that as current seller guidance, not a guarantee that every item or order qualifies: Amazon Seller Central.
- Check the order summary before placing the order. Confirm that the shipping line is free and that the delivery estimate suits you. Amazon says eligibility is assessed for the intended shipping address, so the result can depend on the destination and the items in your cart: Amazon Prime delivery benefits.
Amazon’s stated minimum is for eligible items; adding an item that does not qualify may not help you meet it. The seller guidance gives the threshold as “over $35,” so do not assume an order totaling exactly $35 qualifies. Check the live offer and checkout summary for your specific order.

Compare free standard shipping with faster delivery
If the free-shipping delivery estimate is too late, check whether checkout offers a faster paid option. Amazon lists non-Prime same-day delivery at up to $12.99 per order, excluding Amazon Gift Cards, which have separate shipping charges. Same-day delivery depends on location and is not available for every order: Amazon’s same-day delivery rates.
| What to compare | Free-shipping offer | Paid faster delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Shipping charge | Confirm the order summary shows free shipping. | Check the fee shown for the selected delivery speed. |
| Delivery date | Use the estimate shown for your address. | Check whether a faster date is actually offered. |
| Eligibility | Confirm items and destination qualify, and meet the applicable minimum. | Availability varies by location and order. |
Choose based on the delivered total and date you need, not the item price alone. Before placing the order, verify the shipping line and delivery estimate in the final summary.
