Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFor the strongest assurance, buy through Pokémon Center or find a local seller with Pokémon’s Retail Locator. For other listings, compare the exact item and packaging with official references, check the seller and return terms, and treat an unusually low price as a warning—not proof. Pokémon’s published counterfeit tests address Trading Card Game (TCG) cards and packs, not plush, clothing, mugs, or Halloween decor.
Where can I buy official Pokémon products?
Pokémon Support lists Pokémon Center as a direct online purchasing route in the United States and Canada, and recommends its Retail Locator for finding nearby locations that sell official Pokémon products. Regional Pokémon Center storefronts are available, so use the site serving your region. Storefront availability and product selection can differ by location.

Pokémon’s official seasonal announcement, “Light Up Your Halloween with the Pokémon Center,” dated August 19, 2026, lists examples including Cubone, Espeon, Umbreon, and Mimikyu yard statues; Snorlax and Umbreon ceramic mugs; a Mimikyu Light-Up Figure; a Pumpkin Umbreon Ceramic Tea Light Holder; a Ditto Ceramic Candy Bowl; and seasonal knitwear, sleepwear, and T-shirts. Pokémon’s Merchandise page also featured a Halloween tea-party plush collection on September 4, 2026. These are examples, not a guarantee that an item is currently in stock or sold in every region; check the relevant official store for current availability.
How should I assess a third-party Halloween listing?
There is no single photo-based check that establishes whether Halloween plush, apparel, ceramics, or decor is authentic. Use several clues together, and remember that a copied official photo can make an unverified listing look convincing.

- Check who is selling it. Confirm the seller’s identity and whether the purchase route is Pokémon Center or a retailer you recognize. Search results, marketplace presence, or official product photography do not by themselves verify a seller or item.
- Compare the exact item with official references. Look at the design, labels, packaging, and any product identifiers shown. Pokémon Support says that familiarity with official product images can help buyers recognize knockoffs, but image comparison is not conclusive.
- Consider the price in context. Compare it with an official or suggested retail reference for the same item and region, if available. A strikingly low price is a reason to investigate, not proof that non-card merchandise is counterfeit.
- Read the condition and recourse details. Check whether the item is described as new, used, or damaged, and review return, refund, and dispute options before paying. These are prudent general buyer checks, not a Pokémon authentication procedure.
- Account for region and release timing. Seasonal products may differ by region, and an older collectible may not match current packaging or availability. A difference deserves investigation, but does not alone establish that an item is fake.
If uncertainty remains about an expensive or collectible item, ask a reputable specialist or buy through an official route instead of relying on a seller’s photos or assurances.
How can I tell if Pokémon cards are fake?
Pokémon Support’s counterfeit advice is specifically about TCG cards and packs. In its “Did I purchase fake or counterfeit cards?” article, updated May 26, 2026, Pokémon says a questionable card may sometimes be checked by holding it up to a bright light. It also recommends comparing products with official images and asking a local shop specializing in trading cards to evaluate a questionable card.

Pokémon cautions that fake booster packs can be difficult to discern. It says a pack priced dramatically below suggested retail is a “near certain warning” of counterfeit merchandise; that warning is about TCG packs, not a universal test for other Pokémon goods. Neither the bright-light check nor a comparison with photos should be treated as a guarantee that every card or sealed pack is genuine.
What should I compare when choosing between listings?
Use the same criteria for each listing rather than deciding from one appealing photo or price. No single factor proves authenticity.

| What to compare | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Seller and route | Whether the route is Pokémon Center, a retailer you recognize, or an unfamiliar third-party seller; verify the seller rather than assuming a platform listing is official. |
| Design and identifiers | Whether the item, labels, packaging, and product identifiers match official references for that product. |
| Price | How the price compares with the official or suggested retail reference for the same item and region; a large gap merits caution. |
| Condition and buyer recourse | Whether the listing clearly describes condition and offers return, refund, or dispute options. |
| Region and release context | Whether differences could reflect regional packaging, a seasonal release, or an older collectible rather than counterfeit status. |
