Then confirm the VRAM, software features, power connections, and physical fit. There is no single best-value card independent of workload, region, configuration, and live price.
Start with the workload, resolution, and settings you need
Write down the tasks the GPU must handle before comparing models. Gaming at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K can lead to different choices; creative software and compute workloads may require a different comparison altogether. For games, include your target quality preset, frame-rate goal, and whether you plan to enable ray tracing.

Use comparisons that reflect those needs. AMD’s gaming comparison is organized around 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, while NVIDIA’s guide recommends matching a GPU to monitor resolution: AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series comparison and NVIDIA’s guide to choosing a graphics card.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCompare candidates on the same benchmark basis
Use results for the same games or applications, resolution, and settings. Keep rasterization and ray tracing results separate when ray tracing matters to you; a mixed ranking can conceal differences that affect your actual use. A benchmark chart that disables upscaling and frame generation is useful for comparing native performance, but it does not show how every supported game will perform with those features enabled.

Tom’s Hardware’s June 2026 GPU hierarchy reports results for 48 GPUs across 19 tests, including eight ray-tracing titles. Its tables use native-resolution results without upscaling or frame generation and do not include real-world price, power consumption, or efficiency. Treat it as a performance reference, not a value ranking: Tom’s Hardware GPU benchmarks hierarchy.
Tom’s Hardware’s separate June 2026 best-GPU guide uses a 19-game suite and excludes Intel Arc from its current standings because of test-suite software compatibility issues. That is a limit of that comparison, not proof that Arc cards are incompatible in general. For any card, verify support for the games and applications you use; the broader hierarchy includes additional Intel data: Tom’s Hardware best GPUs guide.

Judge value using the price you can actually pay
Check the current local price for the exact card configuration, including shipping and taxes where applicable. A performance chart alone cannot tell you which card is the better deal, and an old guide price or manufacturer suggested price is not a current quote.
Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down
One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchPC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11For a simple comparison, divide a consistent performance measure by the card’s real price. Use the same benchmark basis for every candidate, and do not combine a raster score for one card with a ray-tracing score for another. If performance is close, the less expensive card may be the sensible alternative—provided it meets your resolution, settings, and feature needs. If it falls short, a modest discount may not be worth buying performance you will miss.

Published prices and test results are snapshots, not guarantees. For example, TechSpot’s early-to-mid-2026 comparison reported $350 for the RX 9060 XT 16GB and $430 for the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB; in its tests, the latter was about 9% faster and about 23% more expensive at those cited prices. Those figures describe that dated comparison, not today’s market or every game. Check its scope and use current local prices before drawing a conclusion: TechSpot graphics card guide.
Check the exact VRAM configuration
Do not assume every card in a model family has the same memory capacity. AMD lists RX 9060 XT versions with 8GB and 16GB, and the RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 Ti families both include 8GB and 16GB variants in TechSpot’s comparison. Compare the full model name and VRAM capacity on the listing, not just the family name: AMD’s RX 9000 Series specifications and comparison and TechSpot’s graphics card guide.

AMD’s official comparison lists the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 with 16GB of GDDR6, and RX 9060 XT variants with 8GB or 16GB. It also identifies FSR 4 support for the listed products. AMD says its gaming comparison figures were generated and verified in its internal labs, so read them as manufacturer-produced comparisons, not independent test results: AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series comparison.

Include features only if they change your decision
Check whether the games or applications you use support the upscaling, frame-generation, encoding, or other vendor features you want. If those features matter, compare supported software and results with them enabled as well as the native-performance baseline. If you do not use them, avoid paying a premium for a feature that does not improve your work or play.

Verify power and case compatibility before checkout
A card that performs well but does not fit or cannot be powered by your system is not a suitable alternative. NVIDIA’s guide advises, “Check your system’s power supply and case compatibility.” It also recommends checking PSU wattage, required power cables, monitor resolution, card size, and slot width: NVIDIA’s guide to choosing a graphics card.
- Power supply: Check the exact card’s power recommendation and your PSU’s rating.
- Cables: Confirm the required power plugs are available and check your PSU manual.
- Case: Compare the card’s length and thickness with the space and slots available.
- Exact model: Board-partner cards built around the same GPU chip can differ in dimensions and connections, so use the specifications for the specific card you plan to buy.
Use a short comparison sheet
Record the same information for each candidate. This makes a low headline price less likely to distract from a mismatch in performance, memory, features, or fit.
| What to compare | What to record |
|---|---|
| Workload | Your actual games, creative applications, or compute tasks |
| Resolution and settings | Target resolution, quality preset, frame-rate goal, and ray tracing status |
| Performance | Results for the same workload and resolution; separate rasterization and ray tracing where relevant |
| Real price | Current local price for the exact configuration, plus shipping or taxes if relevant |
| Value | Relevant performance divided by the real price, using the same benchmark basis |
| VRAM | Exact capacity and full card variant |
| Features | Required upscaling, frame generation, encoding, application support, and software requirements |
| Power and fit | Power requirements, PSU cables, card length and thickness, and available case slots |
Make the decision in order: eliminate cards that fail your workload or fit checks, then compare performance and live price among the remaining candidates. That keeps you from overspending on unused capability or saving money on a card that does not meet the need.
