Find your Android phone from a Windows 11 PC
- Open a browser on the PC and go to android.com/find.
- Sign in with the Google Account associated with the missing phone. If several devices appear, select the correct one.
- Check the map for a current or last-known location, if available. Treat it as an estimate rather than an exact pinpoint.
- If the phone may be nearby, select Play sound. Google says it rings at full volume for five minutes, even if the phone is set to silent or vibrate.
- If you cannot recover it, consider Mark as lost to lock it and display a message or contact information. Erase the phone only if protecting its data matters more than the possibility of locating or recovering it.
What the map location can—and cannot—tell you
Find Hub estimates a device’s location using signals such as GPS, nearby Wi-Fi networks, and mobile towers. Google gives GPS accuracy as up to around 20 metres, but notes that indoor or underground conditions can reduce accuracy. Mobile-tower estimates may be off by a few thousand metres. These are reference estimates, not guaranteed precision, so a map marker should guide your search rather than be treated as proof of the phone’s exact position. If a current location is unavailable, Find Hub may show the last known location when one is available. Google’s lost-device guidance

If the phone is offline or switched off
What Find Hub can show depends on the phone’s settings and whether a location was recorded. If offline finding was enabled, it may show a location saved when the phone was last online. Google’s offline-finding options vary in how they use stored encrypted recent locations and the Find Hub network; network-assisted finding requires a screen lock. If the phone has no usable stored location or network-assisted finding was not configured, you may not see a fresh location.
Some supported devices can be located for several hours after being switched off. Google gives Pixel 8 series phones as an example, but this is not a capability to assume for every Android phone: the relevant offline-finding option must have been selected, and Bluetooth and Location must have been on when the phone shut down. #1 Best Overall
- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.
- Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro). Battery: 5000 mAh, non-removable | A power adapter is NOT included.
Check why the phone is not appearing
Finding the phone requires access to the Google Account associated with it. Google’s setup guidance recommends checking that Location is enabled, Find Hub’s Allow device to be located setting is on, and the device is visible in Google Play. A device hidden in Google Play will not appear in Find Hub. For phones with multiple user profiles, Google’s preparation guidance says to use an account on the main profile. Some setup details vary by Android version. Google’s device-preparation guide
If two-step verification sends a prompt to the missing phone, account access itself may prevent you from using Find Hub. Google recommends preparing backup codes. Its guidance says that, in some cases, if you do not have backup codes or a physical security key, you may need to contact your mobile provider for a replacement SIM. Google’s lost-device guidance

Choose between ringing, locking, and erasing
| Action | Use it when | What it does | Important trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Play sound | The phone may be close enough to hear. | Rings at full volume for five minutes, even when silent or vibrating. | Helps locate a nearby phone; it does not protect data if the device is elsewhere. |
| Mark as lost | You cannot immediately retrieve the phone and want to secure it. | Locks the phone with its PIN, pattern, or password and lets you add a lock-screen message or contact information. | Use it as the security step while you continue trying to recover the device. |
| Erase | Protecting the data outweighs the chance of locating or recovering the phone. | Permanently deletes data. After a factory reset, the phone is no longer available in Find Hub. | If you recover the phone, you will need the Google Account password to use it again. |
