On your Galaxy phone or tablet, open the Samsung Notes note and choose More options → Share or Save as file → PDF. Send the PDF to your iPhone with an available option such as AirDrop, Messages, or Mail, then open it in Preview or find it in Files.
Choose how to export the note
Samsung Notes can export a note as a PDF. The labels and screens can vary by Galaxy model and software version, so treat these as common routes rather than a guaranteed identical layout on every device. Samsung’s support guide was last updated October 25, 2023.

Save a PDF first
- Open Samsung Notes and open the note you want to transfer.
- Tap More options (the menu icon).
- Choose Save as file, then select PDF.
- Follow the prompts on your device to save the exported file. Samsung identifies this export option but does not promise the same save-location screens on every device.

- In the Samsung Notes list, touch and hold the note.
- Tap Share.
- Select PDF, then choose an available app or sharing function.

Pick a transfer method
Once you have a PDF—or are sharing one directly—send it to the iPhone using a method available on your devices. Apple lists AirDrop, Messages, and Mail as examples for sending a file copy from Files. Choose the option that suits your setup and preference; none is required for every transfer.

Open the PDF on iPhone
Open it in Preview
Tap the PDF where you received or saved it, or open Preview and browse its Recents, Shared, or Browse locations. Apple says Preview can open PDFs and images directly without first opening Files. See Open and view PDFs and images in Preview on iPhone.

Find it in Files
Open the Files app and browse to the folder where you saved or received the document. If it was downloaded, check Browse → Downloads. Tap the PDF to view it. Apple’s guide to the app is Files basics.

If the menus or file are hard to find
- No PDF option where expected: Open the note itself and inspect More options for Share or Save as file. Alternatively, return to the notes list, touch and hold the note, and check Share. Samsung notes that screens and settings vary by model and software version.
- The PDF is not visible in Files: Check Browse → Downloads if you downloaded it, or use Preview’s Recents, Shared, and Browse locations to look for it.
- The PDF looks different from the Samsung Note: The cited vendor instructions do not guarantee identical rendering of handwriting, fonts, annotations, or page layout on every device. Check the exported PDF before relying on its appearance for a particular purpose.
