Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo evolve a unit in Command An Army, first check that it has an evolution path, raise it to the reported Level 20 requirement, then use the hub’s Evolve interface and confirm the live requirements shown for that unit. Level 20 is community-reported guidance, not an officially verified rule, and it does not mean every unit can evolve.
How to evolve a unit
- Check the unit’s path. Look for an available next form in the unit’s information or the Evolve interface before investing in levels. A unit without a listed evolution option will not transform just by reaching Level 20. A community guide describes evolution as available only for units with an evolution path.
- Raise the eligible unit to Level 20. Community guides consistently report Level 20 as the threshold, but one current guide says this is based on player reports rather than official documentation. Check the unit panel in your current game for its actual requirement. Community evolution guide; current guide noting the player-reported requirement.
- Locate the Evolve station. A guide places it in the central hub near the summoning area, beneath a large golden dragon. Treat those landmarks as reported directions rather than guaranteed current placement; follow the station label if the hub changes. Station directions.
- Open Evolve, review the displayed requirements, and confirm. The consulted guides do not establish a dependable universal cost or complete material list. Use the live screen for the selected unit rather than relying on a cost from an older guide. Guide discussing requirements.
Evolution and Ascension are different
Evolution moves a unit to a different named form on its path. Ascension is a separate progression mechanic: community guidance describes it as consuming a duplicate to add stats while leaving the unit’s listed form unchanged. The stations are reported to be close together, so check that the interface says Evolve before confirming. Evolution and Ascension overview; station guidance.

Documented evolution paths
Community path listings published before Update 3 documented eight lines; October 2026 coverage reported two additions. These are documented examples, not an official, guaranteed-complete roster. Check the current game for a unit’s available next form.
| Starting unit | Documented evolution path |
|---|---|
| Mercenary | Mercenary → Squire → Knight |
| Shieldman | Shieldman → Sentinel → Imperial Wall |
| Spearman | Spearman → Pikeman → Phalangite |
| Archer | Archer → Longbowman |
| Scout Rider | Scout Rider → Cavalryman → Lancer |
| Spear Militia | Spear Militia → Spear Vanguard |
| Halberder | Halberder → Imperial Halberder |
| Javelineer | Javelineer → Elite Javelineer |
| Mace | Mace → Morningstar |
The first eight lines come from a guide dated September 19, which predates Update 3. October 2026 coverage reported Mace → Morningstar and Pikeman → Phalangite as Update 3 additions. Since the older list is not an official current roster, confirm the path in-game. September path listing; October 2026 Update 3 path reporting.

How to decide whether to invest in a path
Start with the unit you actually have and the next form shown in-game. Consider whether that form fills a role your lineup needs, then weigh the live requirement and cost against the progression resources you are willing to spend. A community guide reports a four-unit army limit, which makes roster fit relevant, but that limit and individual unit value should be checked in your current game rather than treated as a universal ranking.
