Google’s reviewed help documentation does not provide a dark-mode setting for Google Search Console. If you meant Google Search—the search homepage and results pages—you can change its appearance to dark theme in a few steps. These are separate Google products with separate settings.
Does Google Search Console have a dark-mode setting?
Google’s Search Console help describes account and property settings but does not document a dark-theme control. Its getting-started guide and property settings reference do not provide a supported procedure for changing the Search Console interface to dark mode. That does not rule out every interface variation, but there is no documented Search Console setting to follow here.

Google’s published dark-theme instructions apply to Google Search pages, including the homepage, search results, and Search settings—not the Search Console dashboard. Google Search Product Support Manager Hung F. described that scope in a September 9, 2021 announcement; use the current Help article below for the navigation steps.
How to turn on dark theme for Google Search on desktop
- Go to Google Search’s appearance help page, or open google.com and run a search.
- Select Settings, then See all settings.
- Open Appearance and choose Dark theme.
- Select Save.
You can also open the quick Settings menu and choose Device default, Dark theme, or Light theme directly. Google says a signed-in desktop choice is saved on each desktop.

How to turn on dark theme for Google Search on a phone or tablet
- Open google.com in your mobile browser and run a search.
- Open More, then Settings.
- Under Appearance, choose Dark theme.
Google says that when you are signed in, the setting saves across mobile devices and tablets used with that account. The mobile instructions are in Google’s Search settings help.
What the Google Search appearance choices mean

These options control Google Search’s appearance, not Google Search Console’s interface.

Why Chrome can look dark while Google Search stays light
Chrome’s appearance controls and Google Search’s appearance preference are separate. Changing Chrome’s theme can affect Chrome’s homepage, toolbar, settings, and some other pages, but it does not replace the Google Search theme choice. If the browser toolbar is dark while search results remain light, check Search’s Settings → Appearance separately. Google documents Chrome’s own controls here.
