Where should you display a Nendoroid?
Choose a well-ventilated location out of direct sunlight. Good Smile Company also warns that strong fluorescent light may fade colors, and its product-specific manual advises keeping figures away from hot or humid areas and nearby heat sources such as heaters. Avoid leaving a figure on furniture for an extended time, since color may transfer to another surface. These are general precautions; check the manual supplied with your own figure for model-specific guidance.
A case may help keep dust off, but the reviewed manufacturer guidance does not establish that a display case prevents fading, color transfer or other deterioration. No quantified lifespan or deterioration rate is given, so treat any display arrangement as risk reduction, not a guarantee.

How should you store a Nendoroid and its parts?
If you keep a figure in its box or another container, take it out regularly. Good Smile warns that parts left touching for a long time may transfer color. Store loose pieces so they are not pressed against one another, and avoid prolonged contact with other surfaces.
Good Smile advises unpacking a newly received figure promptly and checking for damage, missing parts, dirt and assembly problems. The company says it may be unable to provide support if too much time has passed since delivery, but it does not specify a universal deadline.

How do you clean dust, marks or stickiness?
Good Smile’s maintenance page links to a company blog with cleaning suggestions. The blog presents these as methods to try at your own risk, not as a guarantee for every model or finish. Start with the least aggressive method that addresses the problem.
Loose dust
For loose dust, the blog describes using compressed air to reach crevices. Avoid forceful handling while cleaning, especially around small parts and joints.

Marks on the surface
The blog says a standard rubber eraser may remove marks from unpainted areas, but warns that rubbing painted areas can remove paint. It also discusses a colorless blender for lifting dirt, while cautioning that it can lift paint too. These are not blanket treatments: avoid them on painted areas, and do not assume a glossy or coated surface will tolerate them.
Sticky surfaces
The blog attributes stickiness to plasticizer migrating from the figure material to its surface over time, and says the condition may develop faster when a figure remains in blister packaging. Its suggested first approach is gentle hand cleaning with neutral detergent. Do not use a sponge, whose rough surface may scratch the figure; dry it with a soft cloth. If stickiness remains, avoid tissues and paper towels because fibers can cling to the surface.

The blog also mentions scouring cream as a last resort but warns that its abrasive ingredients can damage the figure and reduce gloss. It is not routine care. For a valuable figure or a painted, rubber-coated or otherwise delicate surface, seek current manufacturer guidance rather than trying an abrasive cleaner.
Some Nendoroids have a rubber-like smooth texture from a special paint coating, according to Good Smile’s support guidance. Treat that finish cautiously; ordinary cleaning advice may not be suitable for it.

What if a part is difficult to remove?
Good Smile suggests warming the area around a difficult connection with a hair dryer, or immersing the part in warm water of about 40°C for 15 minutes. Its instructions warn about burns. Follow the full guidance for your figure, handle the part gently, and stop if it appears defective or removal risks damage.
