If the site still appears in another history

First check whether you are looking at Chrome History or Google Account activity: they are managed separately. Also distinguish a remaining history entry from cookies or other site data, which are separate data categories. Menu wording or placement can vary by Chrome version, so look for the History entry selection and removal controls described for your device.
