Use browser.deleteCookie() to delete a cookie from Puppeteer’s default browser context, or context.deleteCookie() when the page belongs to an explicitly created browser context. Cookies are stored per context, so the method must target the context that owns the cookie. The examples below use Puppeteer’s current browser- and context-level APIs; check the reference for the Puppeteer version installed in your project.
Delete a cookie from Puppeteer’s default browser context
Pass a cookie-shaped object to browser.deleteCookie(). This convenience method removes cookies from the default browser context and returns a Promise<void>.

Delete a cookie from a specific browser context
If you created an isolated context, use that context’s method. Contexts have separate storage, including cookies and local storage; deleting through the browser-level convenience method targets only the default context.

Choose between deleting specified cookies and matching filters

The reference describes BrowserContext.deleteMatchingCookies() as accepting deletion filters. Consult the method reference for the filter shape and behavior in your installed version rather than assuming particular matching rules.

Do not use the deprecated page-level method
page.deleteCookie() is obsolete and deprecated. Use browser.deleteCookie(), context.deleteCookie(), or the appropriate matching-cookie method instead. The Page.deleteCookie() reference identifies the page-level cookie API as deprecated and directs users to browser- or context-level APIs.

- The cookie still appears: Check the cookie list on the same context that owns the page. Cookies in separate contexts are isolated.
- You used
browser.deleteCookie()but the cookie remains: That method operates on the default context. If the page is in a context created withbrowser.createBrowserContext(), callcontext.deleteCookie()on that context. - Your old example uses
page.deleteCookie(): Migrate to the browser- or context-level API; the page method is deprecated. - The method signature or filter behavior differs: Puppeteer references can cover different releases. Check the API reference corresponding to the version installed in your project. The documentation pages for these methods may reflect different version snapshots.
