Yes. PDFCrowd says its API can convert password-protected pages. Use HTTP authentication for HTTP Basic Auth, or send cookies for a page that requires an existing logged-in session. These are source-page credentials; they are separate from the username and API key you use to authenticate your conversion request to PDFCrowd.
Choose the method that matches the page’s protection

Use the HTTP API for a protected page
For the HTTP API, PDFCrowd documents a form-data POST to the versioned endpoint https://api.pdfcrowd.com/convert/24.04/. Keep the version in the URL explicit. A successful response contains PDF bytes. The guide specifies form fields rather than JSON request bodies, so send the request as form data.

Set the source page’s HTTP-auth username and password using the HTTP API parameters listed in PDFCrowd’s parameter reference. Keep those values distinct from the PDFCrowd API username and key used to authenticate the conversion request. For language-specific client methods, PDFCrowd’s CLI and API references document setHttpAuth().

Cookie or session authentication
For a page that requires an existing session, provide the relevant cookies through setCookies() in the API clients or the cookies parameter in the HTTP API. Use cookies that grant access to the intended page, and protect them like passwords: anyone who obtains a valid session cookie may be able to use that session.
PDFCrowd’s documentation establishes support for HTTP Basic Auth and cookie/session-based access, but it does not promise that every login flow will work. Multi-factor challenges, bot checks, or other access controls may prevent the converter from reaching the content.

Formatting settings are separate
The HTTP API guide also documents controls such as page size, margins, headers and footers, custom CSS, JavaScript waits, and selecting an element. These affect the resulting document; they do not authenticate the converter to the source website.

Alternatives when direct access is unsuitable
Temporarily expose the content
If you own or administer the page, PDFCrowd’s FAQ suggests making it available at a hard-to-guess URL, then invalidating that URL after it has been visited or after a time limit. Treat the URL as a temporary credential: keep its exposure short and revoke it promptly.

Send rendered HTML
Your application can retrieve and render the protected content, then submit it through convertString() or convertFile(). If the HTML refers to images, stylesheets, fonts, or other assets, make them available to the conversion process. PDFCrowd’s FAQ recommends including assets in an archive or using accessible absolute URLs; relative URLs can also work when the HTML includes a suitable <base> element.

Troubleshooting
- The converter receives an authentication error: Check whether the page uses HTTP Basic Auth or a cookie-based session, then supply the matching source-site credentials. Do not substitute your PDFCrowd API credentials for them.
- The request is rejected or parsed incorrectly: Use the documented versioned endpoint and send form data; PDFCrowd’s HTTP guide says JSON request bodies are not supported.
- The PDF is missing images, styles, or fonts: Make the assets accessible to the conversion or include them in an archive. If using relative paths, provide an appropriate
<base>element. - The page still cannot be accessed: The documentation does not establish compatibility with every third-party login, multi-factor challenge, bot check, or access-control setup. If you control the content, consider a short-lived URL or submit the rendered HTML instead.
