If you think your ASOS account has been accessed without permission, start from the official ASOS Customer Care pages—not from a link in a suspicious message. Use the AI Assistant and, if offered, live chat. ASOS lists live chat hours as 07:00–23:59 Monday to Sunday, but the chat button appears only when a Customer Care agent is available.
There is also a current incident to take into account: on 6 October 2026, ASOS said it was investigating unauthorised activity involving third-party platforms used to communicate with customers. The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) advises all ASOS customers to assume they may be affected, including those who did not receive the unauthorised notification.

How to contact ASOS about an account security problem
- Type the ASOS website address yourself or use a trusted bookmark, then open Customer Care or Help. Avoid links in unexpected emails, texts, push notifications, or social messages.
- Start with the AI Assistant. If you need to speak to a person, select live chat when its button is available. ASOS lists the service hours as 07:00–23:59 Monday to Sunday; access to chat also depends on an agent being available.
- Explain what happened and when. Include relevant details such as unusual account activity or the time you noticed a change, but do not send your password, full card number, or bank-account screenshots.
- If you cannot access your account, use the official Customer Care route to explain that you are locked out. The published information does not establish a dedicated account-security phone number, email address, or separate recovery route.
ASOS recommends logging in first to tailor the support experience. If you suspect your account is compromised, however, reach the site by navigating to it yourself and do not use a login link from a message you are unsure about.
What ASOS has said about the October 2026 incident
In its 6 October 2026 update, ASOS plc said it was investigating unauthorised activity involving third-party platforms used to communicate with customers. The company said basic personal information, including names and contact details, may have been accessed. ASOS stated: “We do not believe that payment-card information or account passwords, were impacted.” That is the company’s assessment, not confirmation that exposure was impossible.

The NCSC’s alert, also published on 6 October 2026, says all ASOS customers should assume they are affected—even if they did not receive the unauthorised notification. It advises customers to watch for suspicious messages and not click suspicious links in push notifications, emails, or other messages. Follow the NCSC precaution without treating it as confirmation that a particular customer’s password or card details were stolen.
How to check that a message really came from ASOS
ASOS Customer Care says: “ASOS will only ever contact you through an ASOS-branded email address or a verified social media account.” The company warns that impersonators may use fake Gmail accounts, WhatsApp, social media, or imitation websites. If you are uncertain, leave the message and open ASOS Customer Care directly instead of replying or clicking through.

What to do if you suspect your account was accessed
Contact ASOS through its official support route, then secure the accounts and payment methods connected to it. The NCSC recommends using strong, separate passwords and two-step verification where available.
