Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo connect two headphones to a projector, first check the projector’s manual for its audio outputs and simultaneous Bluetooth limits. If it cannot send audio to two Bluetooth headphones itself, a dual-link Bluetooth transmitter connected to a compatible 3.5 mm or optical audio output is usually the practical wireless option. If you have wired headphones and a 3.5 mm headphone output, a splitter may work instead.
Start with the projector’s ports and audio settings
Find the projector’s exact model number and check its manual before buying an adapter. Look for Bluetooth audio output, a 3.5 mm headphone or audio output, optical/SPDIF output, or HDMI ARC/eARC. Also check whether the projector can send sound to two devices simultaneously and whether connecting headphones mutes its built-in speakers.

Bluetooth support alone does not guarantee two simultaneous headphone connections. For example, Philips documentation allows multiple audio devices to be paired but says only one can be connected at a time, while Epson’s EH-LS650 documentation says multiple devices cannot be connected by Bluetooth simultaneously. Those limits apply to the documented models, not all projectors. Philips projector manual and Epson EH-LS650 guidance.

Use the projector’s Bluetooth only if it supports two devices at once
Follow the model-specific instructions and confirm that the projector can connect to both headphones simultaneously—not merely remember or pair them. LG’s guidance says to select Sound Out and then choose the Bluetooth device; sound will not play through Bluetooth unless that output is selected. LG also warns that, for its projector guidance, instability may occur beyond 32 ft (10 m), with obstacles, or amid wireless interference. This is LG-specific troubleshooting advice, not a universal Bluetooth range. LG projector Bluetooth setup.

Use a dual-link Bluetooth transmitter for two wireless headphones
If the projector has optical or 3.5 mm audio out, connect that output to a transmitter that accepts the same input, then pair both headphones to the transmitter according to its instructions. Check that the transmitter explicitly supports two simultaneous headphone connections; Bluetooth by itself does not mean dual output.
Avantree’s Oasis Plus 2 product page documents optical and AUX inputs and two simultaneous headphone connections. It specifies PCM-only optical audio and says HDMI ARC/eARC passthrough is unsupported, so match the projector’s output format and connector before choosing it. Its listed specifications do not establish compatibility with every projector or headphone. Oasis Plus 2 specifications.

Split a 3.5 mm output for two wired headphones
If the projector has a compatible 3.5 mm headphone output, a 3.5 mm splitter may let two wired headphones share the signal. Confirm the output is a headphone/audio jack, check how volume is controlled, and note whether plugging in headphones disables the projector speaker. Epson lists a headphone audio-out port for its EF22, and Philips documentation describes headphones connected through a 3.5 mm jack. Epson EF22 FAQ and Philips projector manual.

Consider an HDMI audio extractor only for a matching signal chain
An HDMI audio extractor may help when the projector has no usable audio output, but it is not a universal fix. Compatibility depends on the source device, video resolution and refresh rate, extractor outputs, and audio format. Check each device’s documentation before choosing an extractor; the available documentation does not establish one configuration that works for every setup.

Check audio format, delay, and speaker behavior
- Optical format: Verify the projector and transmitter support the same format. For example, the Oasis Plus 2 page specifies PCM-only optical audio. Optoma describes 2-channel LPCM for the wired outputs covered by its guidance; that does not establish the output format of other projector models. Optoma audio guidance.
- Audio delay: Epson warns that Bluetooth output may cause audio delay. Low-latency performance depends on compatible transmitter and headphone codecs; Avantree advertises less than 40 ms for compatible configurations, but that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test or a guarantee for every pairing. Epson EH-LS650 guidance and Oasis Plus 2 specifications.
- Other audio outputs: Selecting Bluetooth or plugging in wired headphones may disable built-in speakers or another output on some models. Philips says its internal speakers automatically deactivate when wired headphones or speakers are connected; Epson documents models where Bluetooth audio disables other outputs. Confirm the behavior for the projector you own. Philips projector manual and Epson EH-LS650 guidance.
Set up and troubleshoot the connection
- Identify the projector model and output. Consult its manual and locate Bluetooth audio, 3.5 mm, optical/SPDIF, or HDMI ARC/eARC. Match the transmitter input to the projector output.
- Confirm dual-device support. If using native Bluetooth, verify the projector supports two connected audio devices at once. If using a transmitter, confirm it supports two simultaneous headphones.
- Check format and codec compatibility. For optical audio, confirm supported formats such as PCM or LPCM. If lip-sync matters, check codec support on both transmitter and headphones.
- Connect and select the audio output. Plug in the wired splitter or transmitter, or use the projector’s Bluetooth menu. On LG projectors covered by its instructions, the path is Sound Out, then the Bluetooth device.
- Pair each headphone and test playback. Follow the transmitter or projector’s pairing steps. If one headphone does not connect, check whether the selected device supports two simultaneous connections rather than just multiple saved pairings.
- Adjust volume carefully. Lower the volume before connecting, then raise it gradually to a comfortable level. Philips includes this hearing-safety advice in its projector documentation. Philips projector manual.
- If there is no sound, verify output selection and format. Make sure the projector is routed to the connected output and that optical audio is in a format accepted by the transmitter. If playback is unstable over Bluetooth, reduce distance and obstacles; LG specifically identifies those factors in its guidance.
