Yes—but connecting several Bluetooth devices is not the same as playing audio through several devices at once. A phone can keep accessories connected for different functions; a headset with Multipoint can connect to two source devices; and supported phones and headphones can share audio. The right option depends on what you want to do and whether the phone and accessories explicitly support it.
First, identify what you want to connect
“Multiple Bluetooth devices” can mean several different setups. Use the feature designed for your goal:

Multipoint is a headset feature, not a way for a phone to send its audio to multiple headphones. With a compatible headset, you can connect it to two Bluetooth source devices and select which source to hear. Google’s Android guide says to stop playback on the first source and start it on the second to switch media.

- Check that the headset supports Multipoint and can connect to two source devices. Both devices must already be paired with the headset.
- On Android, open Settings > Connected devices, select the headset’s settings, and turn on Multipoint if that option is available.
- Connect the headset to each paired source device. Follow the headset maker’s instructions if it requires a particular pairing sequence.
- To switch media, stop playback on the current source and start it on the other.
Google’s guide lists Android 8 or later with Google Play Services for its setup. The headset must support Multipoint; the feature is not added simply by pairing it with an Android phone. See Google’s Multipoint instructions.
Share phone audio with multiple headphones
For two listeners to hear the same phone audio, look for LE Audio sharing—not Multipoint. Google says the phone must support LE Audio, the headphones must be LE Audio accessories, and the phone must expose the sharing feature.

- Connect compatible LE Audio headphones to the Android phone.
- Open Bluetooth in Quick Settings and choose Share audio.
- Select another paired LE Audio headphone, or pair another compatible headphone when prompted.
- Use audio-sharing settings to adjust each connected headphone’s volume. Google also describes an option to select which headphones receive call audio.
If Share audio does not appear, the phone may not support the required feature. Check the phone and headphone specifications rather than assuming compatibility from a Bluetooth version number. Google’s current steps are on its Android audio-sharing help page.
When Auracast is the better fit
Auracast is Bluetooth broadcast audio: a compatible transmitter broadcasts a stream that compatible audio receivers can join. The Bluetooth SIG says a broadcast can reach an unlimited number of Bluetooth audio sink devices, and access can be open or protected by a passkey. That is a description of the standard’s capability, not a guarantee that any particular phone can transmit Auracast. Check that the specific phone or other transmitter and each receiver support Auracast.

Check compatibility before troubleshooting
- Paired is not the same as connected. A phone may remember an accessory without maintaining an active connection to it.
- Connected is not the same as simultaneous audio. Multiple active Bluetooth connections do not automatically mean audio plays through every connected accessory.
- Bluetooth version alone is not proof. The Bluetooth SIG says LE Audio uses a feature introduced in Core Specification 5.2, but manufacturers choose whether products support Classic Audio, LE Audio, or both. Confirm that the phone and accessory support the same audio approach.
- There is no universal device-count answer. The documented number depends on the particular feature and products. Google’s Multipoint guide describes two source devices; the SIG does not give one universal stream count for LE Audio Multi-Stream.
For iPhone or iPad, Apple has a separate feature called “Share audio with AirPods and Beats headphones.” The Apple support page identifies that feature, but the compatibility and setup details should be checked in Apple’s current documentation before relying on a particular device or procedure: Apple’s Share Audio guide.
