Connect to a phone or tablet
First check whether the exact controller revision and the phone or tablet’s operating system support the same wireless method. If you plan to use USB, check the controller connector, the mobile device’s port, any required adapter, and whether the cable carries data. The available official information does not verify which Xbox controller revisions or mobile operating-system versions work together, nor does it provide a confirmed pairing sequence for phones and tablets.

If the controller will not connect
Check the controller’s generation, the device’s operating-system version, and the cable or adapter requirements for the connection path you selected.
