Here, “Wi‑Fi Switch” means the Nintendo Switch. Marriott’s portal may not open or work on every console, so the exact network and available help can vary by property.
1. Find the hotel’s guest network
On the Switch, open System Settings → Internet → Internet Settings and check the available networks. Marriott lists names such as MarriottBonvoy, MarriottBonvoy_Guest, and brand-specific guest networks as examples—not a guarantee that every property uses them. Ask the front desk for the exact guest-network name if you are unsure. See Marriott’s Wi‑Fi access guidance.

2. Join the network on your Switch
- From the HOME Menu, choose System Settings → Internet → Internet Settings.
- Select the hotel’s guest network. Enter a password if the console requests one.
- Let the Switch run its connection test. A successful test may establish a Wi‑Fi connection without completing the hotel’s separate sign-in step.
Nintendo lists support for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, 802.11b/g/n/ac modes, and WEP, WPA-PSK (AES), and WPA2-PSK (AES) security. A network name shown in gray can indicate an unsupported security type. The hotel controls its network configuration; contact its internet support if the network is visible but incompatible. See Nintendo’s connection instructions and Nintendo’s wireless-network FAQ.
3. Complete Marriott’s sign-in portal
Joining the SSID and authenticating with a hotel portal are separate steps. Marriott says a connection screen may appear automatically on some devices. If it does not, Marriott recommends opening a browser-capable device and entering www.marriottwifi.com, then following the sign-in instructions. That guidance does not guarantee that every Switch can open and complete every property’s portal. See Marriott’s Wi‑Fi access guidance.

4. Troubleshoot a missing portal or failed connection
Marriott’s troubleshooting guidance, dated June 12, 2026, recommends these steps:
- Turn Wi‑Fi off and back on.
- Forget the hotel guest network on the device, then reconnect.
- On a browser-capable device, visit
marriottwifi.comto prompt the sign-in screen. - Allow browser pop-ups and temporarily disconnect a VPN.
- If the problem persists, contact the front desk or ask for the property’s dedicated internet-provider support number.
Those browser steps may not be available on the Switch itself. Ask the property’s support team whether it can help with the console’s connection method; do not assume a particular workaround or device-registration process is supported. See Marriott’s troubleshooting steps.

5. Choose another connection method if hotel Wi‑Fi will not work

Does Marriott Bonvoy membership change the Wi‑Fi setup?
Marriott says Bonvoy members receive complimentary in-room internet when they book through qualifying Marriott channels, including Marriott.com, the Marriott Bonvoy app, or Marriott customer engagement centers. The speed and access type—Standard or Enhanced—depend on membership tier or qualifying co-brand credit-card benefits.
