Most Logitech headsets connect to a PS5 through the USB receiver or base station that came with them, not through Bluetooth. Identify your exact model, plug in its receiver (or base station), power on the headset, then select it in the PS5’s sound settings if the console doesn’t pick it automatically.
Step-by-step: connect a Logitech headset to PS5
- Identify the exact model. Check the product name on the headset or box. Steps differ by model and edition, and the receiver or base station is often essential.
- Connect the receiver or base station to the PS5. For receiver-based headsets, plug the USB receiver into a PS5 USB port and switch the headset on. For the ASTRO A50 Gen 5, connect the console to the base station by USB-C. If your receiver or headset has a console/PC mode switch, set it to the console option described in your model’s instructions.
- Check the PS5 audio settings. If you hear nothing, open the console’s Settings, go to Sound, and choose the headset for both audio output and microphone input. Then check the headset’s volume and mute controls. Logitech’s product pages establish compatibility and connection hardware, but they don’t give one PS5 menu walkthrough for every model, so treat this as general console setup.
- Test game audio and chat. Confirm you hear game sound and that the mic registers when you speak.
Can I connect a Logitech headset to PS5 with Bluetooth?
Don’t assume so. A Bluetooth feature on a Logitech headset does not mean it pairs directly with the PS5. The G435 is the clearest example: Logitech’s page says “You can use LIGHTSPEED on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5,” and presents Bluetooth separately as a way to connect another device. Use the LIGHTSPEED receiver for the console. (Logitech G435 page)

Model-by-model guide
| Model | PS5 connection route | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Logitech G435 | LIGHTSPEED wireless with the USB receiver | Bluetooth is listed for other devices, not for PS5 |
| Logitech G535 | USB receiver that Logitech describes as compatible with PC and PlayStation; the page calls it plug-and-play | Keep the receiver; the headset needs it |
| ASTRO A30 | 2.4 GHz LIGHTSPEED | Buy and use the PlayStation edition; Logitech sells separate Xbox and PlayStation versions |
| ASTRO A50 Gen 5 | Console connects to the base station by USB-C; the headset switches platforms with PLAYSYNC | The base station is part of the connection |
| Logitech G935 | USB wireless stereo or 3.5 mm wired, per Logitech’s compatibility listing | DTS Headphone:X 2.0 is enabled on PC through USB and G HUB, so don’t expect it on the console |
| Logitech G321 | Logitech lists PS5 compatibility with LIGHTSPEED/Bluetooth connectivity | The exact PS5 setup sequence isn’t established in the sources reviewed; follow the model’s own guide |

When a wired connection works
A 3.5 mm cable is a model-specific fallback, not a universal Logitech feature. Among the models above, Logitech lists it for the G935. If your headset supports it, plugging into the controller’s headphone jack can help you tell whether the problem is the receiver or the headset itself.
Quick Recap
#1 Best Overall
- Enjoy expansive cinematic sound. Big 50 mm audio drivers deliver an incredible sound experience
- Hear Enemies From All Sides. DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround sound(1) lets you hear enemies sneaking behind you, special ability cues, and immersive environments. It’s positional clarity that can make the difference between victory and defeat. Experience three-dimensional audio that goes beyond 7.1 channels to make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. (1) DTS Headphone:X 2.0 requires Logitech G HUB Software.
- Be Heard Loud and Clear. The big 6 mm boom mic makes sure you’re heard by gaming partners and mutes when flipped up.
- Use One Headset For Most Game Platforms. Your headphones work with your PC or Mac via USB DAC or 3.5 mm cable, mobile devices with 3.5 mm cable or with gaming consoles including PlayStationⓇ 5 and PlayStationⓇ 4 (USB wireless stereo sound only), Nintendo Switch (wireless stereo sound when docked)
- Game for Hours in Comfort. Everything about these headphones is about comfort: The deluxe lightweight leatherette ear cups and headband are made to keep pressure off your ears. Ear cups rotate up to 90 degrees for convenience.
Troubleshooting: Logitech headset not working on PS5
- No sound at all: confirm the receiver or base station is firmly connected, the headset is powered on, and it is in the right wireless mode for a console.
- Connected but silent: open Settings > Sound and make sure the headset is the selected output device, then raise the headset volume.
- Game audio works, chat doesn’t: check that the mic isn’t muted on the headset and that the headset is selected as the input device.
- Using Bluetooth and nothing pairs: switch to the LIGHTSPEED receiver, since Bluetooth isn’t the documented PS5 route.
- Wrong edition (ASTRO A30): an Xbox version is not the PlayStation edition. Confirm which you own.
- Still failing: test with a cable if your model supports one, and then follow your model’s own support instructions. The official pages reviewed don’t establish a universal reset procedure, so don’t rely on a generic one.
