What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Connect the Instagram account from your Facebook Page or Meta account settings, then check the link and set up any cross-posting separately. The Facebook login you use must have the Page access needed to manage linked accounts.
Before you start: check your Page access
Sign in to the Facebook account you use to manage the business Page. Meta identifies linked-account management, including Instagram, as a capability associated with Facebook access to a Page. A person with task access may use management tools such as Meta Business Suite, but task access and Facebook access are not the same; business portfolio permissions can also differ. See Meta’s Page access guidance.
- Confirm you can manage the intended Page and reach its settings or linked-account management.
- If you only have task access, ask a Page administrator or someone with the appropriate Facebook access to check whether you can manage the Instagram link.
Connect the Instagram account
Use the Page’s account or linked-account settings, or Meta’s current official connection instructions. Meta’s entry points and labels can vary across Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Business Suite, so follow the instructions shown for your account rather than relying on a fixed sequence of menu taps.
- Open settings or account management for the correct Facebook Page.
- Choose the option for linked accounts or Instagram, if it is available.
- Select or sign in to the Instagram account you intend to connect, then approve Meta’s connection flow.
- Return to the Page’s account settings and confirm that the intended Instagram account appears as linked.
Meta’s help pages describe the connection and access capabilities, but the current authorization screens and exact labels may depend on your account and interface. If the displayed instructions differ, use Meta’s live prompts.

Choose what to share in Accounts Center
Linking the accounts and enabling cross-posting are related but separate tasks. Meta describes Accounts Center as the place to manage connected experiences and settings across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta accounts. Once accounts are added there, sharing can be configured between Facebook and Instagram; it does not mean every post, story, or reel will automatically appear on both services.
Open Accounts Center and review the sharing preferences for the account and content types you want to share. Check the direction of sharing—Facebook to Instagram or Instagram to Facebook—and the specific options shown before publishing.

If the connection option or account is missing
- Check Page access first. Make sure the Facebook identity you are using has the access needed to manage linked accounts. Task access to management tools is not equivalent to Facebook access on the Page.
- Check the selected accounts. Verify that you opened the intended Page and signed in to the Instagram account you want connected.
- Use the available Meta surface. Settings and labels may differ in Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Business Suite. Follow the current prompts available to your account rather than assuming another interface will show identical options.
Meta’s published access guidance supports checking Page permissions; it does not establish a complete list of causes for every missing connection option.
