Compare T-Mobile plans using the same number of lines, then add eligible discounts, taxes and fees, and paid add-ons. Treat promotional bill credits separately and calculate the price again without them. T-Mobile’s displayed examples for three lines with AutoPay are $30 per line for Essentials, $46.67 for Experience More, and $56.67 for Experience Beyond, all plus taxes and fees—not universal all-in prices.
Calculate the monthly total on equal terms
Use the same line count and account assumptions for every plan. First work out the recurring service price for those lines, then apply only discounts you qualify for. Add taxes, surcharges, fees, and paid add-ons. Show temporary promotional credits on their own line so you can see both the promotional-period total and the regular total after credits end.

- Start with the price for your line count. Do not compare a three-line example with a one-line quote. Calculate the account total first; divide by the number of lines only if a per-line figure is useful.
- Apply AutoPay only if eligible. T-Mobile’s featured prices include AutoPay and paper-free billing discounts. T-Mobile says an eligible payment method is required; without AutoPay, the cited plan-page terms say the price is $5 more per line per month.
- Add taxes, fees, and surcharges. The featured prices exclude them. T-Mobile says these vary by carrier and location. Its plan-page search result lists a Regulatory Programs and Telco Recovery Fee of $4.49 per voice line, subject to change, with federal and local surcharges also applying. Verify the current fee and your account-specific charges before relying on an estimate.
- Subtract eligible promotional credits separately. Check qualification, duration, and what happens if you change plans or cancel a line. The recurring total after credits expire is a separate figure from the promotional total.
- Keep one-time costs separate. A device connection fee or device financing is not part of the recurring service-plan price. Include such charges separately when estimating a first bill or switching cost.
What T-Mobile’s three-line examples show
T-Mobile’s homepage comparison, accessed in 2026, displays these per-phone-line prices for three lines with AutoPay. Each is plus taxes and fees. These are examples for that stated setup, not a guarantee of the price for a different line count or account.

Check what could change the quoted price
AutoPay and the payment method
The advertised comparison assumes AutoPay. T-Mobile’s cited terms say the discount requires an eligible payment method, and without AutoPay the cost is $5 more per line per month. Check which payment methods qualify and when the discount begins for your account. T-Mobile’s plan page
Taxes, fees, and surcharges
“Plus taxes and fees” means a plan-card price is not the full bill. The amount depends on location and applicable charges, and T-Mobile says the Regulatory Programs and Telco Recovery Fee can change. Use the fee shown in a current quote rather than treating the cited $4.49-per-voice-line amount as permanent.

Promotional credits and their end conditions
A third-line-free offer, for example, may reduce the bill through monthly credits rather than permanently lowering the plan’s regular price. T-Mobile says credits may take up to two bill cycles to appear. Network management and hotspot use
T-Mobile’s Essentials 2.0 disclosure says users may experience lower speeds during congestion and further speed reductions after more than 50 GB of monthly use. The 50 GB figure is a plan threshold for possible further reductions, not a prediction of any one customer’s speed. The cited terms also say video streams in SD and tethering is at max 3G speeds. Included benefits and the price guarantee
Experience plans include higher-tier benefits. T-Mobile describes a five-year guarantee for the monthly price of on-network talk, text, and 5G smartphone data on eligible Experience plans. The guarantee does not lock the entire bill: T-Mobile lists taxes, fees, per-use charges, add-ons, third-party services, and network-management practices among exclusions. Read the plan terms to decide whether the included benefits matter enough to justify the difference in your account’s actual monthly total.

- Regular estimate after promotions: the same recurring price and charges, but without temporary credits that expire.
- First-bill or switching estimate: list any one-time connection or device charges separately; do not fold them into the plan’s recurring monthly rate.
Then compare the feature terms you actually use—such as hotspot, network priority, international use, and bundled services—alongside both totals. Your exact all-in bill cannot be determined from a plan-card example alone; it depends on your line count, location, discount eligibility, and offer terms.
