To clear Microsoft Edge’s browser-level DNS host cache, open edge://net-internals/#dns in the address bar and select Clear host cache. This clears Edge’s host cache, not Windows’ separate DNS resolver cache or your browsing history and cached files.
Clear Edge’s DNS host cache
- In Microsoft Edge, enter
edge://net-internals/#dnsin the address bar and press Enter. - On the DNS page, select Clear host cache.
- Retry the website that was having trouble.
The exact Edge procedure is described in a Microsoft-hosted Q&A answer by an Independent Advisor, rather than in a formal Microsoft Support article: Microsoft Learn Q&A.

If the site still will not load
If the problem may involve Windows name resolution as well as Edge, open Command Prompt as an administrator and run ipconfig /flushdns. Microsoft documents this as the final command in a sequence that also resets Winsock and TCP/IP and releases and renews the IP address; those earlier network-reset actions are not prerequisites for clearing Edge’s browser cache. - Try the site in another browser. If it fails there too, the issue may be with the network or the website rather than Edge. Microsoft’s Edge troubleshooting guidance
- If you are checking DNS configuration rather than clearing a cache, Edge’s Secure DNS option is under Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Security → Use secure DNS. Changing it is a separate troubleshooting check, not a cache-clearing step. Microsoft Support
