Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo clear a Tactacam REVEAL X SD card, back up anything you want to keep, put the camera in Setup mode, connect to its local Wi-Fi through the REVEAL app, then choose and confirm the card-format option. Formatting permanently erases the card’s contents; the camera must be nearby because formatting over a remote connection is not supported.
Before you format the card
Copy any photos or videos you need off the card first. Tactacam warns that “Reformatting your SD card will erase all data and restore it to a like-new state.” Formatting deletes the files on the card; do not proceed until you have saved anything you want to keep.

Format the REVEAL X SD card in the app
- Set the camera to Setup mode. Keep the camera physically close to your phone.
- Connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi. Open the REVEAL app and use its “Connect to REVEAL Wi-Fi” flow. This is a local connection; a remote cellular connection to the camera is not enough to format the card.
- Choose the SD-card format option. In the app, select the camera’s Format SD Card option and confirm when prompted. Screen labels can change, so follow the current in-app prompts.
- Check the camera again. If the SD-card error or abnormal status remains, use the troubleshooting steps below rather than repeatedly attempting to format a card that may be failing.
Tactacam’s REVEAL X guidance directs owners to format through the camera’s local Wi-Fi and app. Do not follow instructions for REVEAL Pro or Ultra models that use an onboard menu; those models have different procedures. The current X-specific guidance also does not establish computer formatting as the recommended method.
Check the card if formatting fails
Confirm the card meets Tactacam’s stated specifications before troubleshooting further. Its guidance calls for a full-size SD card, not a microSD card in an adapter.
